What days do you do what parks?
What kind of crowds have you seen doing those days?

We leave in two days, but I wanted an 'ideal' park situation days (maybe someone who went recently would be best, who knows, :confused3) but a general idea of what you like to do on what day (ie: i've heard MK is a good Tuesday park, but obviously bad on Sat) .. we leave in two days! Trying to make ideal plans, then backup plans, then backup-backups incase X park is busy on Z day.

We follow the days in the Unofficial Guide. It has always worked for us.

Go to the touring plans site and look at their chart--they'll tell you what days to go. It's very helpful!

I've pretty much followed the unofficial guide for the last 4-5 years and I have had very good luck. I do tend to go at quieter times of the year, though.

I was going to go by that but then I saw MK on Sat which just sounds like a disaster? :confused3

There is always double bluff thinking... if everyone thinks that MK on a Saturday will be a disaster then it will be empty right? :)

My top tip is look what days are early entry at the parks - and avoid them... unless you are staying onsite in which case go for rope drop and high tail it out of there when the park officially opens.

Might also be worth checking if there are any MNSSHPs as if you go to MK on one of those days the park will close early.

Saturdays at the MK may not be bad because most people use Saturdays as a travel day. They arrive and leave on Saturdays and then go to the MK on Sunday as their first park day.

definitely don't do the later extended magic hours for resort guests.
I've never seen it so crowded in October.

MLA the unofficial thing they are talking about is the "unofficial guide to walt disney world". it's one of the better books that gives in detail touring plans, what parks to avoid etc etc. it comes out annually. most libraries will have it or u can pick it up in any bookstore or amazon.

you can also visit their website www.***************** some sample touring plans are free but to get all the detailed plans on their website there is a yearly fee of about 6.95. good site.

If your staying on-site, we got a lot done in the evening magic hours at MK.

We went OCt 1-8. we went to MK on sunday, thurs (MNSSHP), sat.
Sat was the most crowded day we were there. Much longer lines than the rest of the time we were there.

We had a blast at the character connection on epcot extra magic hours evening.
We went during illuminations, and we were the only ones there for like 5-10 minutes of character time w/ goofy, chip, dale, pluto.
Dancing playing, the characters were as wacky as i've ever seen them
and was one of the highlights of our trip.

i've used tourguide mike for this advice, and he has been right on the money each and every time.
to me, it's the single most valuable piece of information on his site.

Really? I was thinking Monday or Sunday would be travel out days, the only thing I didn't use in the touring plans site was Sat = MK, we changed that to either Epcot/MGM and then MK on Monday since I figure weekends, big park, no thanks lol

We have park hoppers, so thats why we have backup and backup backup plans just incase! we're planning on avoiding EMH -unless- the current park we were doing is closing/closed at those times, ie: MK on SUN.
