I posted this on the rides board - but I think that may be the wrong area so -
Questions on EE and what parks to go to what days?
My family and I are going Nov 6-13. What is the best way to do this? I want to plan some PS's by what park we are in what day. Is it best to go to the EE park of the day, and spend the whole day there? My dd will be a 'young' 8yo when we go. According to the schedule now, we will have EE on the following:
Sat- we arrive lunch time
Sun-MK
Mon-AK
Tues-Disney-MGM
Wed-Epcot
Thurs-MK
Fri-AK
Sat-Disney-MGM, Leave for airport at lunch time

So how do I pick which night to do the Hoop-dee-do Revue? Cindys breakfast (if we can get in. LOL!), Chef Mickeys, and Whispering Canyons, etc? I don't know which parks we should do for full day, half day, etc. We have the 7 for 5, so we may also go to the waterparks, and DTD.

HELP!

HDD might be a fun way to start the trip. you can reserve that now. we usually do EE and then leave the park either before/after lunch. return to the resort for rest time, pool time or go to downtown disney. then evening time to another park and/or dinner. hope this helps a little. it works for me to just decide where to eat and then plan the day. it may or may not fall on an EE day. good luck!

If you're planning to go to the EE park in the morning, then I would plan a different park for the afternoon/evening as it will probably get crowded around noon. As for PSs, I planned my days first: For example:

Sat: arrival /
Sun: AM-MK / PM-MGM for Fantasmic
Mon: AM-AK / PM-Epcot for Illuminations
Tue: AM-MGM / PM-MK for Wishes and SpectroMagic
Wed: AM-Epcot / PM
Thu: AM-MK / PM
Fri: AM-AK / PM
Sat: AM-MGM / departure...etc.

Then I scheduled my PS around where I was planning to be that day. I do make a list of where I want to eat ahead of time. So, if I know I want to eat at Crystal Palace, I will fit that in on a day I plan to be at MK.

Are you normally early risers? If not, you may not want to go to the EE park EVERY morning, but that's personal preference, whatever is best for you and your family.

Cinderellas's, depending on how badly you want breakfast there you may have to change your MK morning to suit whichever morning you can get it (try every morning of your trip). If it's not that important, then only try for it on the mornings you already plan to be at the MK. Whispering Canyon, plan around when you will be at MK unless you have your own car, then you can go whenever you want. The Hoop De Doo I would plan for a non-park evening, maybe somewhere in the middle or whatever works out for you. The first night would be great also if you don't plan to go into the parks right away, though with UPH I would probably spend my first night in a park since you don't have to worry about burning a day off of a PH pass.

Does that make any sense?

Thank you so much! We are early risers - but I am sure not every day on our vacation. It sounds like most people spend til lunch time / early afternoon at one park, then head on to something else. Is it just too much to stay all day in one park? Since we are going in Nov, everything will close pretty early. How much time (or how many days) do most people spend in each park if they have 7 days? We want to do them all, the water park that is open and DTD. I think that is all. LOL!

Well, we did rides/attractions in the mornings and spent the evenings doing dinner/fireworks or a show or something more relaxing--just soaking up the atmosphere.

I would say: 2 mornings for MK; 1 each for Epcot, AK, and MGM and a waterpark; with one morning leftover for whichever park you want to go back to. As far as evenings: 1 for MGM/Fantasmic, 2 for Epcot with Illuminations at least once, 1 for MK with SpectroMagic and Wishes, 1 for Downtown Disney, and 1 for Hoop De Doo, with one leftover. The waterpark day would be a great "rest day" if you could put it somewhere in the middle...sleep in a little (they open at 10), relax at the waterpark, then dinner and fireworks in the evening (Epcot is good as they stay open later). Just some suggestions. :D

Tracey - Thanks so much!! That will help guide me to start making my PS's. Having never been there I can read all I want, but I think some things there is no way to understand until we get there :hyper:

I love EE and do it on most days that I'm at WDW. What I also do is split the day between 2 parks. I'll hit the EE park first thing in the morning, have lunch there, then head back to the hotel for a break (swim, relax, etc.), then head to a different resort later in the day. This breaks up the day nicely and I don't seem to get overkill. I'm a light eater when it comes to breakfast, so it's usually a Pop Tart and my free refill mug and I'm on my way. Watch the park hours and the parade/fireworks schedule to determine evening events. I would give yourself 2 1/2 days at the MK, 1 at MGM, 1/2 a day at AK & 2 1/2 days at EPCOT

Saturday -- check into your resort, then head for the EPCOT. Try and get a PS at the Rose & Crown about 1 1/2 hours prior to Illuminations and request a patio table.

Sun -- I would do the MK in the morning, then head over to MGM. Grab some rides, have an early dinner at 50's Primetime, then head over to see Fantasmic.

Mon -- AK is one of those parks you can see most of it in a 1/2 day. I would then head head to EPCOT for dinner & World Showcase.

Tue -- This is another park that can be done in a day. Maybe do this park early in the morning, head back to the resort or to a water park in the afternoon, then head for the MK if it is opened late.

Wed -- EPCOT (Future World) in the morning to afternoon, then the rest of MGM later in the day.

Thursday -- MK in the morning, then finish up anything not covered at MGM or AK.

Friday -- EPCOT in the morning, then MK the rest of the day. Make sure not to miss Wishes & Spectro.

Saturday -- Finish up on anything missed either at the MK or EPCOT.

Thanks so much terk1! That is so helpful! I have to go see what all the 'specials' entail that you and others listed (spectromagic, Illuminations, etc). I know I have read about them, but they went in one ear out the other. These ideas are so helpful!!

Thank you!
