While this will be my 10th trip to wdw, i haven't been in the summer since i was 12 yrs. old in 1987 on my first trip.

will be travelling with 2-3 children (boys 9&12, girl 9 (if she gets to go)) & dm 50

what days are the most crowded at each park???

also, if anybody knows, what days are the most crowded at universal and islands of adventure? we're going to be there 10 days & are planning to visit each of those parks as well.

THANKS!!!

We go in the summer and just about every day is a crowded one. In the summer, it's times of day that become important to plan.
We take our time in the mornings and hit the parks before noon, staying until closing time. Between 9pm and closing, you can get on most of the attractions walk-on over and over again. Also, by the heat of the day, alot of the families with smaller children are vacating MK and AK for naps and downtime at the resorts, so we pick up time there.
It does RAIN and that empties the parks like nothing else. If you are a true fan, like we are, we slog through anything come rain or shine. Have those ponchos ready and don't wear footwear that is going to take forever to dry. those summer showers are SOAKERS.
We love the summer--rain, heat, crowds and all.

Remember to make your PSs for any meals you want and hit the FP lines as soon as you enter the parks. It all does work out!!

thanks.

we always just pull out the ponchos when it rains and keep on going.

will be leaving in 9 days & just wanted to plan a little to avoid crowds as much as possible.

Hi Tink.

The best resource I have seen for the least and most busy parks on a given day is TourGuideMike.com. Worth it's weight in gold IMHO.

Here's a grid that I put together from various online and print sources about a year ago. It's formatted for my Palm Pilot.

WDW Theme Park Attendance Patterns

M=MK, S=Studios. E=Epcot, A=Animal Kingdom

L=Lower than normal, S=Somewhat higher than normal, N=Normal, H=High

(In the left column "A"=Saturday)

(Imagine the top row moved one space to the right)

M S E A
S L S L L
M H N N S
T N N S S
W N S N S
R S N S N
F H S L L
A H S L L

We are arriving on a Sunday morning and should be at the parks by noon. Are we crazy to attempt Magic Kingdom first? I think it is also an early opening Magic hour day for resort guests.
