What days and times do you book for meet and greets?

Not going until Nov. But read these boards everyday. So when should you book princess meet and greets or any other things you want to book. Only on sea days? Getting off the ship at all ports. Are some of these done in the evening. The breakfast one we could do on our Grand Cayman day, because we don't get in until 10:30am. Not sure how to work this all out. Any help would be great. this is a first time cruise for all of us, so last on the totem pole for booking.

The scheduled (ticketed) events could be on a port day OR a sea day. I believe those cruises that do the breakfast have it on sea days. You won't know what's available on your cruise until your activities booking window opens.

Is that like 75 days out for first time cruisers?

Okay, so who will tell us? Is this something our TA would know? I don't mean to sound stupid, but I really have no idea.
When you go into your reservation, you'll find the "My Cruise Activities" link. There you open the day you are looking to book things for. Meet & Greets/Princess Gathering/Character breakfast is under the "Onboard Fun" tab.

When you select the activity, it will show what (if any) times are available for that event on that day. If there are no available times, there will be none listed, and you'll have to open a different day to see what's available.

It depends on your itinerary. We were just on a 3 night which had times for both the Princess Gathering and Frozen meet and greet on the Castaway Cay day as well as the Nassau day. On a 7 night cruise, which is what I'm assuming you are on since you have a stop in Grand Cayman, the two sea days will likely have the bulk of the times. In my experience, the sea days had times from around 9:00am until early afternoon. I've never seen any times in the evenings. There might be some limited times in the mornings of the port days as well.

We do them in the earliest slots available - like 9, 9:30 or 10 depending on availability... we like to see them right after breakfast so we can get on with our day

You will want to try to get on as soon as possible when your window opens. Many of us choose to get on right at Midnight (Eastern time, regardless of which time zone you live in) to get the best shot at it. Often times the next morning is fine, but I wouldn't wait much longer than that. Once the window opens, you'll see all the times, even the ones that are full. Only once you try to book a time will you find out if it is full. I do hope they fix that! We tried to pick times for the two M&Gs that were close to each other (like 30 minutes apart), but I have read some recent reports that they don't let you book them less than 1 hour apart. 30 minutes apart was plenty.

If you can't get spots, don't despair. Keep checking back. Often times spots will open up later. Also, additional tickets are available on the ship. When you get there, the Navigator (schedule) will tell you where to go. In a pinch, you can even try going to the event about an hour after it starts to inquire about no-shows. In our experience, by that time, they were aware if a number of people hadn't shown up and if the lines weren't long, they let other people in.

Remember too, there are LOTS of characters on the ship that don't require tickets, so you will have plenty of chances. Have fun!
