Hi all,

Going to Universal for the first time, just haven't decided what day. I will be in Orlando July 1-8. My wife and 2 ten year olds are going to hit some of the theme parks. It is actually up in the air at the moment, but Universal seems to be leading. If anyone has other suggestions or reasons I'd be up for it. Some questions I do have...is it a good idea to go to ANY park on July 4th? If so, which ones? Will Universal be good for a 10 year old boy and girl. I'm assuming yes, but if another park is better we might look into that also. I'd like to take them to Discovery Cove but don't know if we will afford the expense or not. I guess I'm more or less just looking for good tips/ideas on going to Universal the first week of July. Thanks ahead for any and all help.

That's peak summer season so whichever day you choose is going to be very busy...that goes for all the local parks...Universal, SeaWorld & Disney.

:thumbsup2

It's going to insane there.:scared1:

We'll be there Sunday the 3rd and Monday the 4th - yikes! But, that's our only option, so that's when we will be there. I guess we'll just expect LOTS of crowds and enjoy it no matter what! See you amongst the thousands there!

Yea, I figured it was going to be brutally crowded. That's why I need some tips.
The best tip anyone can give you is to be at the gates bright and early and do WWoHP first thing. After you've had your fill, explore the rest of the park. You might want to ear at off peak times to reduce the wait times a little but just try to enjoy yourselves. Also...drink LOTS of water as its going to be HOT HOT HOT in July. It's been awful here this week...it was 96 today and felt like a sauna even after the showers moved through.
