Looking for a bit of advice. We are a WDW family planning a trip to Disneyworld for Feb 23 - March 2. Yay! I have purchased 5 day passes. I wish they had longer passes like WDW! I think our park days for that week will be Sun., Mon., Wed., Thur., and Fri. I would like to do the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour but am having trouble deciding which day. I was thinking Sunday since that will probably be the most crowded park day for us. But it's also very important for us to ride Space Mountain as many times as we can since it will be going down for refurbishment the next day. Any thoughts?

Mondays can be pretty busy days in the parks. Sundays aren't always that bad. Check the AP blockout calendar for your dates. The more APs blocked, the better. Mornings are almost always good at DLR and you can get a lot done between RD and noon/early afternoon. So you might think about scheduling the later tour on the Monday. Then you would have the morning free in the parks to do rides while the lines are shorter. As for SM, use the Single Rider line to get more rides in! SR works very well on SM and can be used along with FP/MP to get repeat rides.

You can only do the tour in the morning on week days that time of year, so if you want to do a mid day tour you'd likely have to pick a weekend day when there are longer park hours. I'd call and find out what dates are available and then you know what you are working with.

I'm guessing Space will be a very popular ride that day so I'd also recommend buying MP for that day if you haven't already added it to your tickets so you can pick up as many fast passes for that ride that day. I'd also recommend being close to front of rope drop on the Sunday to get as many rides in early morning as you can.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'm going to book the tour for Thursday. That's the day we are going in early for EMH anyway. I am definitely getting MaxPass. There is just 3 of us and I think it will be worth the money for all 5 days. Now I just have to educate myself on how to use MP to it's fullest.

Oh crap, I want to do the tour on February 26th, which is a Tuesday, and I was hoping to do it at noon. Is the 9:30 am tour the only one offered on weekdays that time of year? We do get EMH because we're staying at DLH, but this would make me reconsider the tour if only the one at 9:30 is being offered.

I took my tour at the end of last January (2018) and had a noon tour.

I just checked the Disneyland website and it's only showing 9:30 for my day. :sad1: We may still do it, but this is something I'll have to talk with my husband about. It's a way better value to me to do at noon; I don't like giving up my morning time, but it is a Tuesday.

I've never been in the parks on a Tuesday, are they normally decent, crowd-wise? I understand it's always busy to a degree, of course.

I rarely go on Tuesdays (doesn't work too well with my work schedules and time off), but when I am there, I don't notice too much of a difference from any other day.
