When a contract is submitted to Disney for ROFR, does that day count as day 1 of the 30 day process? Trying to figure out what day we are up to now. Thanks!

You can't really count days because you don't know for sure when your Broker submitted your paper work to Disney. I once was told that Disney was still working on ours and come to find out, it was never submitted.

Mistakes can happen and you have a 45 to 60 day process ahead of you. Try to relax if you can. You will be a owner before you know it. :goodvibes

I just closed yesterday on a resale that started two months ago. The 30 days they talk about is the 30 days the seller has to submit signed paperwork to the the closing company after you have passed ROFR and you the buy has submitted full payemtn... My seller made the 30 days with one day to spare... Had he been a day later I could have cancelled the process and gotten all my money back.

From what I understand, Disney has 30 days to excercise their ROFR option. I believe when I bought (and someone from TSS will correct this if I am wrong) that the day after it is submitted is Day 1.

For example, if it goes to Disney today, November 11th, then November 12th would be considered Day 1. What I am not 100% sure about is whether or not it is 30 calendar days or 30 business days. And, if something needs to be ameneded, I believe it starts all over again.

I know for sure it was submitted to Disney on October 19. And yes, I was talking about the 30 days that Disney has to decide on ROFR. I guess I will count day 1 as Oct. 20. Thanks..

I'm in the same boat as you. I think it was submitted on the 19th or 20th... like sands thru the hourglass...
