We are trying to decide on a day and are having trouble so I am asking you all what days you picked:confused3

Well, we didn't really pick it, it ended up being WAYYY less, so we opted for Sunday. We're having a Committment Ceremony locally and the historical home we've put the deposit on, is MUCH cheaper on Sunday. It came down to money. We leave the next day for our DISNEYMOON and to us, that was more money in our pockets to spend there!!;)

We are having our wedding on a Wednesday...it's going to be a lot less and thank god the day we want lands on it. :cool1: If my date would of landed on a Friday-Sunday, I still would of picked a week day wedding.

We are getting married on Wednesday. At the time it was the only day that worked and that the Whitehall Patio was available. We have switched our venue but our STD's already had been sent so we stuck with it. Plus I like the date 3/3.

we picked a monday for the lower minimum, and thinking it would be the least inconvenience to our guests out of mon-thurs.
in retrospect, we have now spent enough that we could have had friday or sunday which I would have liked better. Cant change it now :)

We got married on a Monday. It was nice because it cost us less, and it cost our guests less b/c they could fly in on Saturday and out on Tuesday - two of the cheapest days for airline tickets.

I am getting married on a Monday. It's the day we wanted, we like nice round numbers and 12/20/10 is a great number.

We got married on a Monday because we wanted the specific date - day of the week didn't really matter to us as we had a three week trip in total, and our guests were there for two weeks :)

We picked a Monday because it was cheaper and DFi liked it. I wanted a certain date, but it was a Friday so it would be hard for our guests.

Our reception venue chose for us.

We wanted Atlantic Dance Hall for our reception, and we wanted our reception to go until 10pm. That meant that we had to go with either Sunday or Monday (the nights ADH doesn't operate). We chose Sunday so that our out of town guests wouldn't have to take an extra day off of work.

I chose Wednesday. I wanted a weekday wedding for the lower minimums and I also used the below rhyme:

'The Best Day to Marry'

'Monday for wealth,
Tuesday for health,
Wednesday best day of all,
Thursday for losses,
Friday for crosses,
And Saturday no luck at all.'

I'm still into silly superstitions  :rotfl:

I got married on a Monday! Where is my wealth!!! I want money! :lmao:

lol, I like that little poem. Our wedding day is a Tuesday. I had wanted a Monday, but the best date for us was DFBIL & DFSIL's anniversary, so we decided to do the Tuesday. We wanted to be able to spend time with our guests before and after the wedding and figured most would probably stay the week anyway.

We got married on a Wednesday simply for the date! It ended up working out cheaper too I suppose which is a plus!!

Oh and I have never seen that poem! Where is that from?!

The poem is one of those old rhymes from way back when. You know like the ones based on what day you're born on etc? If you do a search online you'll be able to find it and other rhymes like that.

We picked Monday because of our nieces and nephews! They can come for the weekend and leave Monday afternoon or Tuesday and not miss much school!! Also, it didn't hurt that the photographer is $1000 less on a weekday!

I picked a Monday. It was cheaper, and I figured people could arrive on the weekend and leave the day after and the kids wouldn't miss much school. The week we will be there the kids have off for Veteran's Day so it worked out. Most of my guests are staying the whole week.
