This is irrelevant but has been bugging me. I have heard on several threads that Sunday is the day of the week that most people arrive. I would have assumed it's Saturday (that's the day we always go). So... I am just curious... what day of the week do you normally arrive?

Given a choice we always prefer to arrive around Tuesday/Wednesday. It's a stupid mind over matter thing that convinces us that with two whole weekends to enjoy over there we have more time.

I think the more important question is, "what day to you leave to go home?". My favorite is Friday, it gives you the weekend to rest and relax (and do laundry!) before it's back to work on Monday.

Good question though!

We always arrive on a saturday and leave on a a saturday, that gives us 6 days at the parks and not one of them being a Saturday. It seems to help with crowd control.

We do the exact same thing....two years in a row now. Arrive May 31st this year...and leave June 6th... I try to get the earliest possible flight to Orlando and a late afternoon/early evening return....we generally get at least a half day on both arrival and departure days.

By the way....we're practically neighbors! I live in Deer Park!

This trip we are arriving on a Sunday! and leaving on a Monday! Only because the airfare was cheaper if we left on Sunday vs/ Saturday - and we are coming home on a Monday so we can stay the next full week-end for the 1st Star Wars week-end! ...and the airfare was also cheaper flying that day :D We leave this Sunday!!!:Pinkbounc

I’m with Chicago526. We go on vacation in September every year for a big vacation. We leave on Wednesday and come back the following Friday. Nine nights where ever and the weekend to recover.

Many DVC'ers, ourselves included, arrive on Sunday to avoid the heavy weekend points.

Since it is only a 9 hour drive we usually go on Tues/Wed and leave on Sunday/Monday.

I usually arrive on Saturday and leave on Sunday. This year we are arriving on Monday (Memorial Day) and leaving the following Tuesday.

18 Days to go!!!!!!!!!

We usually arrive on Friday, early afternoon, and leave on Sunday - dinner time, giving us 8 full days, and 2 partial days in the parks. This next trip however, we are going Sat. morning (7am flight) and returning on the following Sat. evening.

Its not really your imagination... being at WDW over the weekend really does give you more time... time at the parks that is... the weekend hours ARE longer :D (well if you aren't going during peak season thats the case.) In October for the EF&WF the weekends seem to be the only time MK is open past 6pm or so. Epcot is open later... but you get the idea.

We like to arrive Wed or thurs... rest up, lose the jet lag (we come from socal) and get ready for the weekend! Yahoo!!! We're going to Walt Disney World!!!! :bounce:
