I am gifting a trip to BBB for my two youngest nieces. But I am curious as to what day in your trip you all do it. What do you do about swimming?

We have done BBB many times (10+) and always do in at the beginning of our trip so that she can wear her hairdo for a few days. I let dd7 swim & typically she just doesn't go underwater. In Sept it was boiling hot so after the first day we scrapped that and just let her swim. That time she had the fairytale princess do so all we did was take out her crown & believe it or not the bun stayed in fine.

It is all for fun, so if they want to keep it in let them and if not let them swim, they are only little once, so enjoy it!

The last two times my DD did BBB, we did it the morning of the MVMCP. By the next day, she was ready to let her hair down! On our next trip, she and a friend are doing the BBB on our first day at the park - I'm not sure how long it'll stay cuz I'm sure they are going to want to go swimming!!! It'll be so hot outside.

We just do the basic package (hair and makeup), so it doesn't matter when she washes it out.

Have a great trip!!!

I am having my DD8 and DD6 appts on the last day we are there. I figured it would be a great "good-bye" for them. Plus, I'm sure they will love the extra attention in the airport. :cutie:

I think we are going to try to book for our first full day, then do the Princess breakfast at Norway in Epcot. My daughter is a girlie girl who will want to have her hairstyle last as long as possible! I have a friend whose daughter did it on the day they came home. She loved the attention at the airport plus got to show her grandparents when they picked her up at the airport!

The Princess 'do is really very simple to do...I watched them do it on a Travel Channel eposide about Disney. Watch the Fairy Godmothers-in-training do it (it consist of wetting the hair, combing in lots of hair gel as you pull it it up to the top of head, putting it in pony tail, spliting the pony in 2, forming 1/2 the bun and securing it - do same on other side and then fan it out to create the bun) and you should be able to re-create it on days 3, 4, 5, etc. if the girls want. I've done it on my 2 year old once and got pretty decent results, considering. :goodvibes . I personally like what they do in the barber shop. They'll put in colored gel streaks and put in lots of confetti and "Pixie Dust" and for a lot less (around $8 ish??). That being said, when my DD gets older, she'll get the BBB royal treatment at least once.

We have done it three times.
Once we did it towards the end becasue we met up with a friend and they girls did it together. We stayed at magic kingdom all day that time so she had it in all day
The second time it was mid trip. She kept the hair up all day but it was slightly cold so we couldn't swim anyway.
This last and final time we will ever do it we did it at the begining of the week and it lasted half the day. She took it down to swim. I am sure she could of left it in to swim:confused3but she is a pain in my butt and hates stuff in her hair for stuff like that.

We did it the morning that we had CRT booked for lunch. She then wore it again the 2nd day when we went to Epcot. We don't really go in the pool while we are there (went once in 8 days) so swimming isn't an issue for us.

This time around we are doing BBB on Thursday, we arrive Saturday and have BBB scheduled for our 2nd scheduled MK day.
