What cuts are Disney making?

It's our 4th visit to WDW this August (our last one was last August)! I'm reading there's many cuts being made, and i can see that August park hours and EMH have been reduced a lot from what we experienced last August (although i'm still hanging on to hope that they may increase them a bit nearer the time). Also only one nighttime parade instead of 2 (i suppose when it closes at 10pm who needs 2 parades). I understand some characters are being cut too (not sure which ones). What else can we expect to have changed for the worse since last year? Just want to be prepared and deal with the possible disappointment now rather than while we're there.

Hours are never final & 99% are increased within 30 days of arrival. So keep checking for hour extensions.

There are a few closures due to the building of SW and TS lands at HS but not a whole lot was closed attraction wise there. They will close the back streets and the LMA car show is closing. I think Backlot Express QS will be closed during construction and the Writer's Stop coffee shop is closing. I think a couple of the inside theater shows will close as well. The big draw attractions there - ToT, TSMM, RnRR and GMR are still open. Rivers of Light will be open by then at AK so there will be later hours at that park, I don't know of any attractions that will be closing down there. Soarin is undergoing refurb at Epcot but I'm not sure when that will reopen, the Frozen ride might be open there by then, there really isn't a date on that, Captain EO shut down there but otherwise, as far as I can remember nothing else is closing at Epcot. I can't think of a thing that is closing at MK unless a few rides would be down for refurb, I think there are a couple of places you can look up refurb schedules but, I'm sorry I don't know them. A few of the characters have been done away with, Duffy I know is gone and I don't really know which other ones since we don't do characters. All together, there really isn't going to be that huge of an impact.
