I'm having a hard time choosing where to go for our counter service meal at Hollywood studios. Nothing sounds that great.

We'll probably have a light breakfast, and then dinner (buffet) at Hollywood & Vine. Need to choose a lunch that is filling for the day, but not so much where we'll not have an appetite for dinner. =)

Please vote and explain why =)

Thanks!!

The pizza place is pretty good and the salads are too........I also have gone to the Backlot Express and it isnt bad.......But if I had just a choice to eat I would do the pizza place and get my lunch there.......

Backlot Express and TS Pizza is pretty good, but my ultimate favorite is Toluca (sp?) Turkey Leg!!!! YUM!!! It is a meal all to itself!!! Only 24 more days 'til I can get one!!!

I voted ABC, as I think it was the place that had the healthy option my wife chose last time we were there, but I am not so sure. Guess I should have checked the menu to make sure I was voting for the right place! :confused3

I can't vote for any of them...we just don't like them. We leave the property and go to the Boardwalk or one of the resorts for lunch at their counter service during our break if it is lunch time. Disney pizza is as bad as Domino's.

I voted for Backlot but have gone to Pizza Planet and Catalina's Express too. I liked the atmosphere of the backlot and the hide away from the crowd idea. It was hot that day and it was nice to get away from it all. the desserts are another thing:scared: This last trip we die Piza Planet and I didn't mind it at all. You get alot of food and the kids liked it knowing there was no seperate kids menu for them. I would go back to either of these 2. Catalina's Express was just take out food and blah.

I voted for the ABC Commissary because my family and I think it's a great location to relax while your eating and they have a various items on their menu for you choose from.

i voted ABC (ate there once, it didn't kill us.....) - have heard good things about the pizza at toy story being good!

We really did not like ABC... We have been twice and will not go back again... I agree the place is nice and you can relax there... We like the location so we gave it a second try... But the food was just not good either time... I can remember how much much we disliked our last meal as I sit here and I feel sick just thinking about what I ate there....My small children refused to eat the chicken nuggets there... DH had one to see why they would not eat and he said they were terrible... We all left that second meal at ABC wanting something else to eat...

We ate at Toy Story once and we actually liked it... We love NY style pizza and did not think we would enjoy their pizza...We went for the kids and we all actually liked what we had...The dining plan was good there because we each got a salad, small pizza, dessert, and drink... I liked that salad was choice for the combo meal (very rare in Disney)... The pizza does taste processed but it was pretty good.

To me, DHS has the worst selection of CS of the 4 parks and is light years behind DAK and Epcot

Im usually in the minority on this one, but I enjoy Pizza Planet.

Not only don't they sound great, they really aren't great. I voted for the backlot express more as the lesser of the evils. Can you get by with a box of popcorn to hold you over till dinner?

Starring rolls for us for a number of reasons.

1. For whatever reason it is not that busy so it is very relaxed out on the patio.

2. The sandwiches are really good, and a great deal (at least a great deal by WDW standards.)

3. The lack of selection in regards to the other CS resturants, we try to avoid burgers and fries as much as possible.

We always go to Pizza Planet, mostly by default because there isn't any where else that appeals to everyone. We've always enjoyed it, but we have big Toy Story fans in our group.

I vote for Starring Rolls. The sandwich choices are limited, but they are very good. You get your choice of chips or fruit with them.

Plus if you're on the DDP. You get to choose any of their bakery items for dessert.
