What CROCS did for me!!

I wore mine for the first time this weekend. I work 12 hour shifts in a hospital and all I can say is I'm in HEAVEN!!!! :cloud9: Put them on @ 6a didn't get home until around 8p and my feet felt wonderful. THANK *U* DCHEF for letting us all know about them. Can't wait to try them out in Dec. when I go to WDW.

We just got home from 4 days in the parks where DD and I made a game of looking for crocs. There were several pair in AK. We saw navy crocs and black crocs getting on the safari, we saw pink with black straps waiting for Primevil Whirl and we saw orange leaving the park.

The thing I don't understand is that we couldn't find a single pair at any of the other parks :confused3 . Any thoughts?

I alternated my kahki beach crocs with my tennis shoes and my feet definitely felt better at the end of the day when I wore the crocs. My only complaint is that the crocs left a blister on the top of one foot. Next time I may wear socks to see if that helps.

I'm off to shop for niles now ..........

Cathy

Care for your blister, but keep in mind that if you continue to wear them you probably won't see another one. My girlfriend got one first time out and it went away and never has had a problem with that since--I have found this to be true in several cases--so give them another shot when the blister is gone without the socks.

You are so welcome, but you have got to stop working those hours--I was yawning just reading your post---It is a good thing you have crocs...how do you do it????

Got my second pair today!!! I got the Beach in sage a month ago. Then today, I was out wandering around the mall and checked to see what Filene's had that I just had to have. Well, they had some purple Caymen's in size 9 is what they had...for $29.00!! I am loving them and dh and dd are both green with envy. I actually think they fit better than the Beach model. It's funny because dd's Metro's were made in Canada, my Beachs were made in China and these Caymens were made in Italy. Wonder if each model has a different country making them.

Hi I have been lurking on this thread trying to decide whether Crocs will work for me. I wear orthoditics for arthritic knees and am looking for sandal relief this summer.:):) Has anyone tried the Niles version of Crocs? And what to do they feel like on? From the website they look like they are plastic.

Thanks!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

Too Funny, I work 3-12 shifts plus a 4 hour shift a week

I was at Dunham's today (Sporting Goods store) and they had shoes that looked exactly like Crocs, but were called Komodos (after the dragon). Instead of the crocs logo on the rivet, they had a K. The sizing was like Beach, and in women's they had pink and yellow (cream), and in men's they had blue and black. But both listed men's and women's sizing on the bottoms, like Crocs do. They looked and felt identical to Crocs to me at least. They were $19.99. Guess everyone's in on the market now! I still haven't found them at any Payless' here. I'd love to get them for my 3 boys, but don't want to pay $39 for them for the Caymans (only ones I can find small enough). Dunhams smallest size was the women's 8-9, men's 6-7, at least in the men's colors. Any more knockoffs?!

I put my "regular" work shoes on today. I've been on school vacation for the last week. Got my crocs last Sat morning, put them on in the parking lot at the Fed Ex store, and haven't looked back. My feet were fine in my work shoes, but they were starting to get achey at about 8:00 after working and running around all afternoon. I tucked DS into bed, changed into my jammies, and slipped my crocs on to take the laundry downstairs. My oh my.....what an immediate difference! I felt like I was walking on air!!!!! I can't wait for it to get a tad warmer so I can start wearing them to work!!!

I have a question for Dchef....not to start a debate or hijack this thread. But do YOU work or own this company? You seem to know a little bit to much about them. This seems like an Advertisment to me. If someone does not like them, like myself you seem to be insulted by this! I have alot of medical issue and I can forsee more wearing these. and I feel like these are being jammed down my throat!
Just curious what is in this for you?
I defintley feel theres a connection here??

whoa...that's kind of a harsh post unless you have some proof.. Don't think we need to start a war over shoes. I don't see anything to indicate that DChef has an interest in the company and many people have posted that they bought them and loved them.
If you feel this way, perhaps best to just not read the thread.

I am very grateful for Dchef introducing these shoes to us. Isn't that what these boards are for . . . sharing helpful ideas and tips for one another?

If you feel like these shoes are being "jammed down your throat", dearie, then don't participate on this thread. No one is holding you at gun point to read it. :teeth:

And an advertisement? No. Just factual information. Anyone can go on their website and get the same helpful information regarding the shoes. However, I find it even more satisfying to hear others opinions in order to get a better feel on what good shoes are out there. ;)

If you were to read other threads on other shoes, you would most likely be offended with them, too. ::yes:: Again, I love these "shoe" threads because I am always looking for a great pair of shoes and welcome with open arms any and all responses. :flower:

OK it's answered, let's move on before this thread ends up locked

Well--While I LOVE my Crocs, I must say that the customer service is lacking.

I have been calling everyday, I ALWAYS get "So-and-So's" voice mail after the receptionist (who is lovely, BTW) connects me to the person that can help. They say to leave a message, which I do, but they NEVER return the call. Very annoying.

My Crocs broke after only having them about a week. I am disgusted. The shoes are very comfy and I do feel they are excellent for my feet, but I think the company bit off more than they can chew.

They need to hire more people to man the phones. It is obvious by the website that they are doing well (many colors/styles SOLD OUT), so I hope that they hire more people to serve their customers properly.

The trick is to dial the operator again after getting the person's v-mail (same call) and you end up getting someone different. All the times I called I experienced just what you did but did end up with someone who was able to "help". Unfortunately due to their cust. service I cancelled my order but if I ever see them around town, I'd still pick up a pair. I do know they are experiencing growing pains.

Thank you so much for the tip! :goodvibes

I am just going to answer this and this person can read it and we can all move on: No, I have no affiliation what-so-ever to the Crocs organization (you can call and ask, they would probably say--WHO?) Yes I am passionate about these shoes and I love them and they have thus far kept me on my feet...NO, I don't shove them down anyones throat...If you have posted and said you don't like them--my response is usually...I am sorry to hear that...I went back to review the response I gave to you after you said you didn''t care for them and I thought I was absolutely respectful to you and your opinion--WISHED you well. I am not insulted--it wasn't my invention (DARN IT) And there is absolutely nothing in it for me--is it not okay anymore to spread a little good news with out everyone thinking you are expecting something? This is no more an advertisement for Crocs than anyone talking about which sunscreen is the best to use or what camera to buy for vacation. Now I'm mad (and I don't get mad) so I am ending with this. If you don't like Crocs...fine, they are not for everyone. But this thread is for those curious wanting to know if they can help them when they go to WDW and those who have worn them and loved them at WDW...because in the end that is what we want is to have a great time with our families with little or no pain doing it!!
NOW--we can move on.

Thanks everyone for your kind words--This isn't what this thread is about!!
NOW: Glad to hear of some CROC sightings at WDW

Well, I have to say that I'm mad at you now, Dchef! You get me all worked up about these shoes and I can't find them anywhere!!!   Wahhhhh!

Maybe you should send me a pair of yours ;)

Has anyone actually got the lime green ones yet? I am up to 6 pairs.... :rolleyes2, and really want the lime green... but the red are in the stores and the last 3 times I went CROCS hunting they always had that color in my size. But I have several other shoes in red, granted not as comfy, but I need lime green! One the other hand I haven't worn any other shoe for 5 or 6 weeks now, so if I had to get both red and lime green, I could force myself...
My poor DH keeps finding another pair in a different color, somehow I can't quite convince him that they change color on their own :sad2: ! So I am casually bringing them out of hiding... and wearing them when he is not around so they look "worn",ie dirty, ect. Then I can say, " Oh, I had these for a long time, see how worn they are? You never noticed?" :rotfl:
Think it will work? And if anyone has the lime ones, please post a photo, if you can! Thanks!

I received my Crocs yesterday. I bought a pair for myself, my dd and my dh. I always shop at zappos.com, so I received them withing 2 days of ordering them. A great site for shoes. Anyway, my dd absolutely loves them. She's the type to complain about everything, something is wrong with everything to her. Too tight, too loose, you get the picture. Well, we got them in the morning and she wore them all day, without 1 complaint. This is a great thing. My dh, who is a pain in the neck, and likes nothing, except the best quality and style, says they are absolutely comfy and while he will only wear them certain places, because they aren't the nicest looking shoes, he's very happy with them. As for me, well, I do have problem feet,(actually 1 foot, gives me pain) and they are very, very comfy. I only wore them for a short time, but, as I pretty know from the start which shoes will cause me pain, I do know these won't. I'm glad I bought these for all of us, they seem like a comfortable shoe, good for walking around the city, going to the beach, and just hanging out in them. While they are one of the ugliest shoes, IMHO, they fit the bill for comfort and they seem to be durable and for the price, paid 35.95, free shipping) even if we all decide to only wear them in the yard, they are well worth the price.

I'm glad that I found this thread. I'm usually fine in tennis shoes at places like WDW, the fair, shopping, etc. However, I can never find a sandal that I can comfortably wear. And, I don't always want to wear tennis shoes. So, I got a pair of the Niles, and I love them. I think they look nice, too.
