What CROCS did for me!!

I have wide feet and they work great and look a little better than my beach style. I bought 2 pair one from 2 different sites because 1 site said they were back ordered but wouldn't you know they both showed up at the same time :confused3 so when contacted Crocs about exchanging them for larger size and different color they emailed me back and said if I could be patient they were going to have some out in about a month that ran in sizes and that they would fit better on length  I'll keep you updated

Thank you for the information!

 Banana Yellow Caymans...Did I hear someone say they were giving back Banana Yellow Caymans...

Ursala, you are bad!! :rolleyes1

keep hands away from PM, keep hands away, yellow, pink, no lime green, no Nile

Another singing the praises of Zappos.com.....they've upgraded my Croc shipment to 1 business day so they should be here Tuesday!! I ordered them last night! :bounce:

Thanks to you guys for suggesting Zappos!! I order a LOT of shoes online but for some reason I had never ordered from them. I saw last night that they had black crocs and since I'm about to start working in a hospital I thought I better get some that would work with work clothes!!

I'll let you know how the Crocs work! :cool1:

Hey, second day wearing my Crocs at work...much better than first day! This time I only wore them for 6 hours...I think my feet may be getting used to them. They may work out for me after all...
But STILL have to return those banana  yellow Crocs...haven't gotten around to it yet...must ....soon....

Zappos is wonderful, ain't it? I order almost ALL my shoes from them...love their return policy, and their customer ratings, and their prices are generally very good. But they only carry the Beach CROCS...makes me wonder what sort of hospital you're working for, that they allow shoes with holes in them. And also, wouldn't you wear white? Or are you in an office? Anyway, good luck with the new job!

I'm starting clinical rotations for my Doctor of Pharmacy degree. I haven't worked in a hospital yet that has had a problem with the pharmacy staff wearing shoes with holes but I guess I'll find out! I'll switch hospitals about every month so if a few are pickier than my previous rotation sites maybe my Croc-less days won't last long. ;)

I wore my first pair of crocs all day today and got many comments on them. I got the blue beach ones. I can't believe how comfortable they are. They made me feel like tigger :Pinkbounc very bouncy. So, I got home from work and told my DH "you have to get a pair" and he did and I got another pair but this time I got the highlands because we still have snow and those holes just don't do in snow.
My question is, these are so squishy and comfortable I am afraid they will not last very long. Has anyone ever worn out a pair of crocs? Does the foam compress and become hard? Thanks.

I have had mine since December last and they are still "bouncy" and cusiony. The only thing I have noticed is that the tread on the bottom of my beach is just now starting to wear, but not a lot yet--this pair of blacks I wear almost everyday! The key is to buy several pairs and switch them out--I am so addicted now that spending 30 dollars every 8 monthes or so is absolutely no big deal to me--still cheaper than my Birkenstocks. Maybe someone who has had theirs longer could shed some light.

I ordered 4 pairs of Crocs (one for each member of my family) from their website on March 10 and still have yet to receive them. I did email them and received a canned response saying they were behind on fulfilling orders. Is anyone else waiting this long?

I can't seem to get mine off my feet!!! I did put on my walking shoes today, just for a change, but it's looking like the Crocs will be going back on. But, yesterday I was off shoe shopping with my girlfriend. I kept trying on shoe after shoe. The clerk commented on my Crocs and picked one up. She ran over to the main desk to show it to her friend. They just couldn't believe how light it is!!! Needless to say, I just couldn't find a shoe that felt good after taking my Crocs off. Even the clerk said it must be hard squishing my foot into those other shoes after wearing the Crocs. Looks like I'll be getting a few more pair of them....many different colors I think!!

If anyone can't wait, Sahalie already has the flamingo (fuschia), lime green and purple Crocs for sale on their website. I ordered the lime green ones a couple days ago but they are backordered until April 14. They were $35.90 with shipping. :flower:

Thanks for posting...I had to send back my 6-7 Niles, they were just a tad too small...and this website has the whole sizes, plus they have it (backordered) in pink! :Pinkbounc I'll just have to be patient...

My DH is a surgical tech and he wears the beach crocs in black. The doc he scrubs for wears the beach crocs in sage. They are allowed to wear them with the holes or without. I know some of the nurses have them in several colors to match their scrubs :rotfl:

Yep, I love them! I just got back from 9 days in wet/rainy/cold Wonderfull!Scotland. We were in Edinburgh the first 2 days, and the morning of the 3rd day it was pouring rain, and we had to go get the car to tour the country side, fine, but I slipped on 2 slick flyers on the cobblestone pavement, yes with the Crocs on, NOT their fault, the flyers were plastic coated... Any way, I kept walking, no choice, and the foot/leg was totally numb anyway... :sad2:.
I can honestly say that I should have gone to the hospital. Didn't,cause I knew they would cast the foot... and no way was I going to do that...
The shoe did stretch to fit the swelling, and I will need a new pair, oh, darn! or several... after I get off the crutches and the air cast off..
But they really did make a difference, I did walk every day, lots, and even with the bum foot, they Crocs did great! I thought I had gotten them to big, thank goodness! If i had not had the Crocs there is no way I could have done any of the castles/museums stuff... I would have missed Loch Ness and the Castle Doune( Monthy Python/Holy Grail castle!), and all the historical stuff.
The doctor I went to yesterday LOVED the Crocs and I gave him the web site and local store info, he said they were the best thing I could have worn, if I had to keep walking...
So ugly or not, I am going to get more, as soon as the new sizing comes out! Any will let you all know how they work in WDW in May...
Oh, yea, the doc said he is sure the foot is not broken, but wants a radio/xray doc to re read them cause of the swelling/multi colors a week afterwards, I just ripped the mucles/and sprained it very badly :rolleyes1 , and of course a break would have been better... On the bright side I have very good meds for the pain and swelling, and we are blaming them for all the miss spelling/info in this post, and of course I will need new Crocs...many, many more.... :rotfl:

I LOVE your story!! I do hope your foot gets better soon. And yet ...just another GREAT testimony for Crocs. I bet they were great for the rainy days on Scotland, I mean what better shoes--just wipe them off!

Darlene--who is terribly jealous to even be reading about someone other than herself going to Scotland

I saw this thread when it first started, looked at the Crocs site and thought 'no way! those shoes are TOO ugly', besides I had just bought two pair of Teva flip flops and one pair of Teva Pretty Rugged Leather sandals to wear to WDW in May. I love my Tevas. Anyway, yesterday I'm walking down the mall and as I go past Hallmark Gifts, what do I see but a display of Crocs. I had to stop (just to look  ), then I had to try a pair on. As I'm trying them on a male voice scares the heck out of me when he squeals "those are Crocs". I turned and his wife was looking at him like I'm sure I was. He started raving about these shoes and how he had been looking everywhere for them, and how he was going to buy a pair in every color they had that fit him and he didn't care if they were pink. He started telling me how a coworker of his wore them all the time and absolutely loved them. While we were talking another lady walked up (wearing Nile Crocs) and said she had the Beach style in almost every color as well a two pair of the Nile. My mother was with me and said 'you're not getting those ugly things are you?'. All they had to fit me was the pink in the Beach style, so yes I got them. I got my pink ones, the only ones the man could find was a pair of black ones, and his wife got a pair in tan. As we checked out all three ladies behind the counter laughed and raised their feet up showing us their Crocs, at which point a lady behind me started asking about them and also decided to buy herself a pair.

I decided I wanted a red pair of Niles also, so the cashier told me to check at either Raquet & Jog or Wild Birds Unlimited as all Hallmark carried was the Beach style. Raquet and Jog laughed at me and said they sell them as fast as they can get them in, but would be glad to add me to their call list. Wild Birds Unlimited had a few of both the Beach and Nile Styles, but only had the Niles in Sea Blue in my size. I bought them and my mother finally said she wanted to try a pair on just to see what all the fuss was about. The cashier told her if she tried them on she would buy them--which she did (Beach style in Sea Blue). She wanted the Niles, but they didn't have them in her size. The cashier was also wearing them and said they were all she ever wore. She did say they had a hard time getting them, that she had ordered 80 pairs and only got about 30, and the company will not backorder, and that she must reorder every time. She said the company grew too fast and can't keep up with the demand.

My pink Beach ones say 'made in China' and my blue Nile ones say 'made in Canada'. According to the cashier you really need to try them on as each shipment and style seems to be made a little different. Both of mine were mediums (8-9), but two pair of the mediums they had, did not fit. Also all four shoes only have one button on the strap that says Croc. It's on the outside. On the inside (of each shoe) is just a plain black button. Is this normal? Also even though the button and the straps both say CROCS, on the bottom the Nile say 'Rebound', while the Beach style says 'Crocs'.

Anyway I wore the Niles to walk my dog this morning and they are wonderful. Umm, how many pair of shoes can I carry on a ten day trip to WDW? I love my Teva flip flops and sandals, and now I've got two pair of Crocs I can't decide between. Why did you post this thread? If I had just seen these shoes I would have just laughed about how ugly they are, without trying them on.

My Niles say Rebound and my Dh's Beach say Crocs on the bottom. They also only have the one Crocs button on the outside :)

Well they are so light weight that you won't have to worry about luggage weight. This is what I have been trying to explain that even though they are "UGLY" to some people--once you try them on...alll of that just seems to "go away" you don't care anymore because they are SO comfortable (kinds like the pain of child birth :rotfl2: )

I have had my "favorite" pair (kinda like my blankie) for just under a year and a half. They are the red caymans.

The tread is wearing and I am a bit more careful on the pool deck when the kids compete. However, the footbed has not become squishy at all. In fact, they fit like a glove and that is why I love them. I have brand new highlands, but don't wear them as often.

But now that the tread is wearing, guess I am going to have to go out and get the lime-green ones.

Our swim coach has worn hers for close to 3 years now. She just got a new pair.

Unless the pharmacy you work in doesn't manufacture IV's, or uses a needleless system, I guess I just assume that shoes with holes would put your feet at risk of needle sticks. In that case, you might try the Highlander CROCS...no holes!
