What CROCS did for me!!

Check out Zappos.com, they have the beach style and they ship fast. I think they do free shipping and also free return. :flower:

I LOVE Zappos.com, but they cost about $5 more, which kinda balances out the shipping. But if you think you may need to return them, the Zappos deal is MUCH better. Can't wait until Zappos carries all the other styles!

Its all YOUR fault!! :rotfl2:

Yep, went to the mall, wearing shoes that were KILLING my feet!! Truly I cant stand - that darn bone spur/plantar thingy...

saw an "outdoor" shoe store... hmmm, wandered in, there are those UGLY shoes, tried them on (did I mention I'm a size 11!) ok, I took a L (as opposed to XL) and they feel, yes, feel, hmmm, I cant feel... pain... hmmm fine, but this white is awful.. any other color? GREEN... ew... ok, now what will I do?? LOOK< TEVA's on sale for $12.88!!! ALL RIGHT!! "Ma'am, we have a pink pair" my achilles heal - :rotfl2: I bought them!!! Pink Crocs :rotfl:

Got home, yep, they are still ugly , but DS, 19, "I understand mom, it'll be ok" :rotfl:

*sigh, ugly shoes... how I hate ugly shoes!!

Does anyone remember the scene in :rotfl: Moonstruck, where Cher buys her dress for the Opera? She has these AWESOME red shoes, as she sits drinking a glass of wine, contemplating her evening, looking at the shoes... :goodvibes

I'm so a shoe person, it breaks my heart when I wear shoes, the next day I need a cane to get around... so I bought the pink crocs, and the Tevas!! :rotfl2:

Eeyore, you've got my very feet!(you can keep them, by the way :sad2: )
I have size 11 too, with plantar fasciitis (yes, that IS the correct spelling, I've studied the d..n disorder to death). Tell me, what type and size Crocs did you buy? I ordered them online, but from what others are saying, they may not come in, and if you got the Beach type, I'll order them from Zappos.com. I'm not proud...I wear ugly shoes at the best of times.

Wow, for the price, how can you go wrong? Just figuring out the size will be hard.

In your title, you asked the diff. between Beach and Cayman...
Sizes, I believe. Cayman come in sizes, whereas Beach come in S,M,L, XL, etc., which cover 2 sizes each. The Caymans are the new, improved version, cut on an Italian last . I dunno, is that a good thing?

Well, I'll see if I like them...just ordered 2 pairs...one for Disney, one for work in the cold, cold Northeast. Hope they're all they're cracked up to be.

:flower2:  Hi Ursula

I couldnt believe it, I tried the M on at the store, and they wernt that small!! So I asked for the L (sz 10 -11) and they felt great!! However, when I bought them, they do fit 'snug', and that's because of the back strap, so I'm hoping the back strap will give a little, and my foot will nestle in the shoe - but even if it doesnt, they still have plenty of room!! (well, not "plenty", but room enough for my 'boats'!!) :flower2:

Keeping this thread alive--doing my part to make sure everyone has "healthy feet"

Just in case any of you can't find the Crocs you need--If you haven't done this already...Do a search on Google.com for Crocs Shoes and you will find MANY, MANY places to purchase them. They are showing up all over more and more! So try that and you might be able to get a pair quicker. Good Luck.

I almost forgot--I wanted to give some links here ( I hope that is okay and permitted)

Raiseyourpulse.com (free shipping-- but in Colorado there is sales tax) :sad2:

Comfortableshoes.com (there may still be a coupon to on certain styles)

mitans-uniqueboutique.com

There you go...that may help!

Zappos is out of mediums Ugh!! So i ordered from Campmor. Anyone have any experience with them??

Campmor is a GREAT "store"!! We order from there all the time (DS's scouts, dh and I are Scouters!) Best place and best prices for many of the must haves for camping!! (anyone going to camp that needs mosquito netting, campmor IS the place, to get from the floor to the 'sticks' the kids need - the official Boy Scout store by us the netting isnt long enough!!)

edited to add> Day 2 DH brought me the crocs this morning to put on! DH and DS noticed last night I wasnt hobbling! Oh yeah, these must make a difference... dh again stated going and get that cortizone shot in my heel, um "NO" NOw, for the size, they are Large W10-11, and I will say they are 'snug fit' but not bothersome, my toes to meet up at the top of the shoe, but I personally wouldnt be comfortable in these if they were bigger... but if it bothers you to have your toes touch the top of the shoe... just thought I'd pass that on...

Okay. I seem to be obsessed with these shoes and haven't even bought a pair yet... :rotfl:

Some Info for you:
- The name "Crocs" came after the inventor and his two partners decided the shape of the shoe looked like the snout of a crocodile.
- They also know they are on the *ahem* ugly side but they are fun so they like to call them "fugly" :rotfl2:
- They store they interviewed sells a pair every 8 minutes!!!!!

:rotfl2: UGLY , yep that's exactly what I say, its hard to get past the UGLY of the darn shoes!

I was shopping, and a store clerk mentioned "those must be extremely comfortable" of course, yes... "I thought so, since they are so ugly" (what do you say to that?!!) she did say they would look better on the beach (I'm in the midwest, no beach here!!)

DS wondered if the pink color of the shoe had something to do with it? :rotfl: I figure if they are going to stand out, they may as well stand out in a color I like!! :rotfl2:

I guess I don't think of them being all that UGLY since they are SOO comfortable. Goes to show you that you can get past anything. I do remember my first initial reaction was that they are ugly and I would never wear them :bitelip: But, I got over that really quick and now I don't think about them like that at all so many are wearing them along with me!! I'm the cheerleader for CROCS-- :cheer2:

I know the ugly gets you. They look like garden clogs to me. Not real shoes. But this thread and my weekend trip to WDW made abeleiver out of me. Forget fahion. Maybe if we get enough people to wear them from this thread they will become so poplar that they are in style. Like Uggs.

I know this is hard to believe but I think they are in style...I would venture to guess that it won't be long before hollywood catches on. On America's Next Top Model last season I heard one of the girls was wearing them on there. So, it will be more and more the thing to wear crocs!! I just have to beliieve it--plus, it seems to be a big thing here in Colorado!

I posted earlier about being in between sizes, but I found a pair. I had tried on a pair of Cayman size 8 at a sporting goods store, and they were way too big, but I found a bunch of Caymans later at a local shoe store. And those size 8's fit! Maybe the first pair were mis-sized. I got them in dark blue, and they're great. I do have "sensitive toes" though, they get callouses on the bottom, and the grooves in the footbed do bug a little. Guess I will still need my arsenal of blister products when we go to WDW, but I'm sure I'll be wearing my crocs! DD got a pair of red ones. She doesn't like Tevas, but she likes these.

Think they are catching on, they have imitators. This one is probably better than the payless version. Know someone who bought these at the local home show.

Ok, I just picked up a pair of red Crocs. :cool1: I was going to get the dark blue ones, but the kids really wanted mom to get the red ones. I figured they are pretty ugly to start with so I might as well just go all out. I hope they are as comfortable as everyone says because they sure are clunky looking. But if my feet like them, then I like them! Thanks everyone for the recommendation.

Oh, Eeyore, get the cortisone shot...it helps a lot! Takes away that "walking on glass" feeling in the morning, and you can't beat that! The shot hurts :earseek: , but within 3 days you really notice a difference! Still, though, you have to be so careful not to wear the wrong shoes, or it sneaks right back on ya.
As to the strap on the back of the shoe being kinda short, the Crocs website says to stretch the strap with your hand one or two times, being careful not to go beyond the edge of the shoe, and not too much pressure on the rivets, and it will eventually hold the stretch.

Hi Ursala! OK, the crocs are winning me over! :rotfl:

I do know about the "walking on glass" feeling, but honestly, I havent suffered today! (Ok, well, I came close, whenever I got the pain, I put on the shoes The only difference is the ugly shoes!!

Thanks for the tip to stretch, I've been putting my feet up, and pulling from my heel to stretch!!
