What CROCS did for me!!

Of course he is wearing them with socks right now and there is no way I'm going to walk around with him wearing black Crocs and white long socks and shorts  :scared1:

My DH hobbles around when he first gets up in the morning because of pain in his heals. Of course he won't go see a doctor. I don't know if I could get him to try these-he has very narrow feet. But if he did he'd probably have his white socks that are now pink because he washed them with a red shirt that bleeds and shorts. :rotfl:

My DH was the first in our family to buy a pair, dark blue. So far he only wears them around the house, but he says he's taking them to WDW.

Ha, that's funny. Unfortunately, I'm not a teen surfer skater either. Not that it matters, generally I don't care what other people think. It will come down to what I think, but right now I think these things are ugly and I just don't know if I can do it. Do they look any better in person? That khaki color doesn't look too bad.

LOL..I know they are not the most "beautiful" shoe ( and I am also neither a skater or surfer lol) but I tried them on and WOW most comfortable things ever...I really am not into wearing clogs so I went to the dealer to try them on and see how they fit but could not bring myself to buy them!

In the end I bought the nile style in the light blue(online)...I feel they look more like my tevas or birkenstock, nike sandals etc...and the blue and white seem more feminine that black and red seem more masculine (although i am not sure if offered in all sizes yet)

See if you can try them on..that will be the convincing factor!

I'm thinking I read somewhere where they thought the shoes look like 'crocodile mouth' so they termed them "crocs' for crocodile :confused3

They are shoe/sandals that are called crocs..they are made from this resin stuff (they look like plastic but are not) they are super comfy and are always odor free and yes the clog like style sorta looks like a crocadile but now they have a sandal which is like an athletic style (the nile)!!!!!

I heard about them on this board and I tried them on and bought a pair from www.crocs.com they are the MOST comfy shoes ever!

Response to "lovetheparks"....I wear a size 10 shoe and the size 10/11 Crocs Beach style was too big....I felt like I was swimming in them. The 8/9 size was not long enough...my toe touching the end of the shoe.

The sandal might be a possibility for me....are they comfortable and easy to break in?

Well, I've read all 16 pages and ordered myself a pair of the Beach style from zappos. I've never been so excited about a pair of shoes! I can't wait for them to come in! Also, thanks to all you guys. I've learned so much from these boards...Brita filtered bottles, ING accounts, now Crocs. I'm sooo glad I found this place!

I bought a pair. They seem amzingly comfortable. I'll try them around the house for a while and if they still feel good, maybe I'll give them a few walks around the block. If they remain as comfortable as they feel initially, I'll wear them to the parks.

I ordered another pair of crocs!!! This time I used comfortableshoes.com. They cost 36.45 and that includes shipping! Just got an email that my purple crocs are on their way!!!! :Pinkbounc

I ordered my new ones form Campmor as Zappos was out of my size but I have not heard anything. Does anyone know if Campmor sends an email when they ship and how long it usually takes to ship?

These shoes are sooo comfortable.... until I try to walk in them. I wear a size 9. A medium is too small and a large is way too big. The medium is great just standing, but the front has a "lip" on it that my toe bumps when I walk. I tried on 3 different styles. I really want some. Maybe I could buy some and put a hairdrier to them while they are on my foot. Another poster suggested that. They are supposed to form to your foot when they are warm.
The web page has a place to search for dealers if you aren't sure where to buy them in your area.
And I agree with the fact that they do run wide.

Someone else posted that zappos upgraded their shipping to 2-day for free. Well, they did the same thing for me! Woo Hoo!! :Pinkbounc

I forgot to say that the pair I ordered were cayman's. On the crocs site they are 39.oo + shipping. On comfortableshoes.com 36.45 includes shipping :Pinkbounc

I, too, own a pair of Crocs and think they are the ugliest things invented. However, after seeing some of the outfits people wear at WDW, my Crocs can't even compare to the word ugly! And at least they are decent! :cool1:

well, mine came today, and sad to say, they were too small. I have already sent them back to be exchanged.

i wear a 10, but my mom had hers on this weekend, they were a small, and i could get my foot in them. I emailed the place i ordered them from and asked to change my larges to mediums.

i am worried though, that the larges will be too big, because the mediums were not that small on my foot. I hope i am not between sizes, cause i loved the feel of those shoes!

Well if you're between sizes for the Beach (s,m,l,xl), then you can order the Cayman, which comes in actual, whole number sizes, right?

thanks, rob....i didn't realize they were basically the same shoe. Only one problem, the cayman doesn't come in pink! princess:
i also ordered a pair of the highlands....now they were a lot smaller than the beach, so hopefully the large in those will be fine.

The cayman comes in pink, go on the comfortableshoes.com web site, they have them! They are 36.45 with shipping. :cool1: I wear a size 10 and thats what I ordered and they fit fine.

Turns out there is a little store just down the road from my home that sells the style that is S,M,L. I went ahead and bought a pair. I've worn them for about 5 hours so far. They are bad, but they do kind of irritate the top of my second toe. I think someone else said the same thing and then within 2 days, they loved them, so I'll wear them tomorrow and see what happens. If I love them, I'll buy a second pair and then get some for DH and the boys. This store doesn't sell them for children, so I'll have to order someplace else, if I go that route.

One of the stores we went into after I bought them, had a lady working who noticed them. She stopped me and said, "Are those the shoes they call Crocs? I've heard they are very comfortable." I told her I couldn't give her an opinion since I had only owned them for 7 minutes. I told her that the Disney boards were talking about them, nonstop, so decided to try them. Told her where to purchase them and left. I'd never heard of these until the other day!
