What CROCS did for me!!

Well, I finally broke down and called Crocs, and since they assured me that I would have my shoes in time, I ordered a purple pair of Niles.

I did finally find a place to try the Beach style on at.....and I was comfortable with a Medium and I normal wear shoes that are a 10. My feet were swimming in the Large.

Can't wait to get them now !!!!

DH and I just got back from a quick trip to Williamsburg, VA. The first night there we were waiting for the shuttle back to the parking lot, and there was another woman wearing Crocs! I told her I liked her shoes, and she agreed with most everyone here....they're ugly, but who cares! They're so comfortable!

If anyone is looking in the Pittsburgh area, they are carrying the Beach style at Dick's Sporting Goods for $29.99. I picked up a pair of black ones last night, along with a light blue pair of knock offs from Payless. My mom has ankle/knee problems so I made her try them on - she's heading out today to get a pair!

Anyway, Dick's had the beach style in black, white, navy, light blue, pink and butter. I have a feeling I'm going to end up buying the butter ones also!

I'm intrigued by Crocs, but my 17yo DD is horrified by them! She just tried to make me promise I would never buy any, but she got no such promise out of me. I'll be near a store that sells them tomorrow - maybe I'll check them out. (Shh! don't tell DD!)

My 19yo DD told me "Just promise me you won't wear them to the mall!" Shhhh.....don't tell....I wore them to the mall in Skokie, IL when I was there last week!

I think I am going to cancel my Crocs order. By the time they get here, summer will be over. It's been 3 weeks and still no word.

It's funny that your teenagers don't want you to wear your crocs. I've got a pair for my mom and she won't wear them. She uses the excuse, "well they're cute on you young people but they wouldn't look right on me". Honestly, do they look right on anyone? That's not the point though, It's all about the comfort!

My DD, almost 21, just got home from Uni. over in Scotland and a few weeks working in UK and Europe... The first thing she saw in the front hall was my CROCS collection... and she flipped how UGLY they were and why did I need 8 pairs???!?!? Well, the next day she needed comfy shoes to walk the new bridge we have, 2.5 miles, and she wore my baby blue pair... and now she admits they are super comfy, but still, "Butt ugly, mom!".

I am now allowed to wear them while she is around, like she could have stopped me! And my Phy.Therpist also has admitted they are ok, my Doctor has gone and bought some!

So life is good in CROCS land....

Anyone see the Chocolate brown ones yet? I saw them online, but as the colors are so different in person I am waiting to see them in person, and for the new boot style for fall.

This wasn't a Crocs order but I just had to share something about Zappos.com.

I placed an order for my nephew last night at 11:20pm, free standard shipping (4-5 business days). At 12:54 am, I got my e-mail saying they'd upgraded me to 1-day shipping and to expect my order on Friday. At about 11am this morning my doorbell rang.....it was my order!! How on earth did I get an order within 12 hours?!? That place is amazing!!

FYI, they have Niles now, too.

Try www.taylorshoes.com. They have Niles, Caymens, even kids' Crocs. The shipping is only $5 anywhere in the US with an unlimited quantity.

Just got off the phone with Crocs (again, time number 4). Still no shoes. I ordered shoes that were supposed to be in stock on May 12 for our June 1 trip to WDW. There are some very uncaring people at Crocs. They don't care, they just listen and say "so, what do you want ME to do? I can't help you. It makes my head hurt. Last week they said oh, shoes are in stock, they just need to be sorted in the warehouse and we will send them. Still no shoes. Today , they say "shoes are out of stock again and you didn't get any! We go back to WDW October 28 for a quick MNSSHP trip . If I get them by then I will faint. This is enough to drive you crazy!

Wow, this doesnt bode very well in the confidence for my just placed order......should I just cancel now?

UGH, now I am nervous......I wonder if I should try one of these other sites (zappos.com, taylors's) if they can get me the one's I want faster??

I may check that out. There's supposedly a shoe store in Englewood that is close to wher I work. I may look into that too.

I just checked out Taylor's for Niles in the colors that I want- they only had one color in stock that I wanted. The rest are not in stock.

I'll keep the url though- they might restock at some point......

YAY !!!

I took the great advise here on the boards, and cancelled my order with CROCS this am, since they were now giving me a 4 week+ order fulfillment expectation.

BUT, I called Taylor's when they opened, and they had just received in an order of NILE style in, and had a pair of Sea Blue in a 9 and they shipped them to me this morning !!!! That means I'll have my new shoes early next week.

I am in Seattle now and I found a couple of stores that carry them. They only had the cayman style in colors I didn't like. The shoes seem so wide. I tried on my size and they seemed loose in the back and I didn't like the way my toes hit the front. I am nervous because I bought some online and I am not sure I will like them very much.

I am kind of intrigued by the nile ones though.
