Worldpoint is my favorite program. 25,000 points gets you domestic ticket on any airline, so long as the retail price of the ticket is less than $400. There are very few restrictions on the ticket, and if your flight does hit the restrictions, you can override them by spending 45,000 points. This is the only program I've had (and I've had a lot) where I've had virtually no problem cashing in points for tickets. Airline specific programs have tons of blackout dates generally, and only a few seats available on each flight for FF miles, so you generally have to book way in advance if you want chance at actually get seats. Because Worldpoints isn't associated with an airline, they are just buying regular tickets for you (up to that $400 limit), so you can book flights much closer to your travel dates and with more flexibility.
