Where can I find a list of what you can use your snack credits on? Can any breakfast items (bagel, muffin, etc.) be counted toward a snack? Our plan was to use snack credits at Riverside Mill in the morning.

There is no full official list released by Disney. See the 2011 Confirmed Snacks sticky thread to see what other DISers have reported being able to get as snacks. Unfortunately there isn't much way to know about 2012 yet.

In the past, a snack was anything under $4 that serves 1 person. We've gotten pastries in Epcot at the Boulangerie Patisserie in France, fruit cups, yogurt parfaits, hot oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins, Shortbread cookies, Candy bars from the different Epcot countries--as long as the serving size is 1.

So, I would imagine that you shouldn't have a problem getting a single muffin/bagel as a snack.

Yes, you can use your snack credits for those breakfast items and as the pp stated, snack credits can, basically, be used for any single service food item that is $4.00 or under.

There are some items that are single serving and cost less than $4 that cannot be bought with a snack credit, and there are some items that cost more than $4 that can. So the $4 rule is not a hard and fast rule and does not always apply.

That's why I said basically. We have been to WDW at least 7 times with the DDP and I have never had an issue buying snacks or being turned down. It's a good rule of thumb for new people to know what to look for.

This will be our first time using the dining plan, so it's all new to us. When ordering a snack will it be designated on the menu board that it is an approved DP snack?

Most of the time, yes. Sometimes, you might have to ask, especially in the stores and shops.

Does anyone know when 2012 snack credit list comes out? Or does the list just slowly build as disboard members start going in January and report back snack credit options?

Bestt thing is figure out what you want andd ask. Bagels, muffins almost alwys count. But if ask we have gotten a plate of eggs as a sidee for a snck credit. POFQ has beighnets as a snack. Sunshine in Epcot has a bowl of bread pudding for breakfast that's is a snack.
