My family and I will be in Disney on August 4th and I have wondered what counts as a beverage credit, especially at dinner, using the dining plan. Do smoothies/shakes count? Other non-alcoholic beverages? Any help would be appreciated.
When you sit down for your meal, your server will ask if you are on the DDP. If you are- he/she will share with you the items on the menu that may not be included. This may be certain high priced dishes or specialty drinks.
Iced teas, coffee, milk, juice and sodas are always included. Sometimes special drinks are included- but not all the time. The kids specialty drinks with glow characters are never included- but we found that sometimes a nice CM would include one for our girls for free.
I hope this is helpful!

Oh- I do want to add that sometimes a smoothie or milk shake counts as a snack credit.
Several of the restaurants we went to would allow smoothies and shakes for a beverage with the dining plan. But I couldn't imagine having a shake and also dessert. We were on dessert overload all week!
We had icee's and smoothies as our snack credits most of our trip. We were too full all the time for snacks, so these were very refreshing in the heat!
