I've been going to DLR since I was 1, at least 2-3 times per year (I'm 30 now). I feel like I must've seen/done/experienced everything, but that can't be. Husband and I are taking our 3.5 year old on a little spur of the moment trip tomorrow and I'd love to hear about anything you think I might not know about. Do you have a favorite place to sit with an ice cream cone? A special snack you have just have to get? Anything, really!

You might want to scour this DL secrets thread. It's been goinga couple years and has all sorts of odd things to see or enjoy in the parks.

Several small shows not listed that are often overlooked:

10:00 am at DL entrance: Disneyland Band (Usually with the Hatter & Alice)
11:00 am in front of the Castle: DL Band with Mickey
2:00 pm in front of the Castle: Purley Band with Mary Poppins
2:30 pm Musical Chairs at the Coke Corner on Main Street.

Not run every day (The Bands(s) are usually off in mid-week.)

My kids loved the Musical chairs with the Mad Hatter and Alice. They had Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum playing as well, and were causing mayhem not only with the kids, but with the parents as well. It's definitely worth watching and is alot of fun. I also second the DL band with Mickey. Alot of characters come out, some not so common, and is alot of fun to watch. Also take the time to go on the trolley cars, and vintage vehicles that go up and down Main street. Try different side streets and see where they take you. You may find a short cut you would have missed normally. Take the path to the right and visit Snow White's wishing well and fountain.

There is a light show at Pixie Hollow that runs about every 15 minutes after it gets dark. It is charming, someone spent a lot of creative effort into making it, and it is not listed anywhere that I can see (I'm a CM, and it's not in the CM Reference Guide). Just stop on the path into Tomorrowland that passes Pixie Hollow and wait for it to start.

I go sometimes if I'm in the park as a guest, just because it makes me happy.

We just got back last night and my kids loved the redcreek trails? I think thats the name....its in DCA right by grizzly river run. Its a hug play area with slides, tire swings, etc...tons of fun! Wish we would have tried it a bit sooner.
