What Constitutes Using Disney Photography

We're already 95% sure we're hiring an outside photographer for our Escape Wedding but as we are having a dessert party that night we will be transferring our provided photography to that event (assuming that's still the rule when we can book)

Having said all that which booking window for an in-park shoot do we fall under? Can we book it with the wedding or do we have to wait until 45 days before to book it as if we were not using Disney Photography at all? I can't figure this out and haven't had a chance to download a copy of Carrie's book yet... Silly working full-time with a completely opposite schedule from DF (I'm on straight overnights he's on evenings and volunteers in the mornings) while selling my apartment and buying a new house leaving me no time to actually get this wedding all figured out!

TIA!

I would try booking the MK bridal photo shoot when you book your Escape wedding. Anecdotally, they seem to only enforce that 45-day limit for Wishes couples who don't use Disney photography. After all, you will still be using Disney, just for the DP instead of the wedding.

Thanks Carrie! I just knew you'd know!

I have a question too!:mic:
If we swap the DFAP for a dessert party that night, does Disney give you the electronic images so I can add it to my own "online album maker" or will they only give you the pics in one of their albums?:scratchin

No, you have to pay extra for the digital images. You can pay $25 each for individual images or a flat fee for all the images on disc. The price is $795 for hi-res images (prints up to 11x14) or $995 for archival images (prints up to 30x40).

I'd love to hear how they handle that from a brides perspective as well! We've talked to a couple considering bringing us as outside photographers in, but they dont' make it simple!! LOL

So, just to clarify: if you swap the included photography, you don't get the discount for the CD?

When you buy the disc, they put all the photos they've taken at each of your events on it.

The way you get a discount on the disc is to give up the printed products. If you swap the included wedding photography, which includes an album and prints, for a DP shoot, which does not include an album or prints, there is nothing to give up in order to get a discount. Does that make sense?
