What exactly is included with snacks in the disney dining plan? Want to get my money's worth. Don't want to go ask for a coffee and end up using a credit if I can get more. Thanks .

You can check this out

Look for the symbol on the menu boards at Quick-Service restaurants,
most outdoor food carts and select merchandise locations to identify
eligible snack options.

Snacks

Some examples of eligible Snack options include:
Frozen Ice Cream Novelty,
Popsicle or Fruit Bar
Popcorn Scoop
(single-serving box)
Single Piece of
Whole Fruit
Single-serving Bag
of Snacks
12 oz. Coffee, Hot
Chocolate, or Hot Tea
Single-serving Prepackaged
Milk or Juice
20 oz. Bottle of Coke®, Diet Coke®,
Sprite® or 20 oz. Dasani® Water
20 oz. Fountain
Soft Drink

NOTE: Items such as a Hot Dog, Corn Dog or Cereal with Milk are
Quick-Service meals and do not qualify as Snacks.

On the dining plan, the items that can be purchased with a snack credit have the purple DDP logo next to them. Here's a thread that has items that have been purchased with a snack credit this year:

And here's a website with menus. I randomly clicked on menus from some of the quick service and snack carts and saw the purple DDP logos:

If you are going during the Food & Wine Festival in the fall or the Flower & Garden Festival in the spring, all of the non-alcoholic food and beverage offerings could be purchased with snack credits.

The confirmed snack thread mentioned above is a GREAT resource. It gives snacks and locations by parks. There are LOTS better options than coffee, unless that is what you want!;)

We are just back from the World about a week ago and here are a few of the snacks I enjoyed the most with a snack credit:
Brownie Sundae at Storybook Treats in MK
Dole Whip in MK
Sweet Roll at Gaston Tavern in MK
Churro, Cream Chesse Pretzel and Frozen Lemonade at MK
Chicken Fried Rice at Yak and Yeti QS in AK

Oh posted too soon, wanted to also include-
Carrot Cake Cookie from the Writer Stop in HS
Carmel Brownie from the Karmel Shop at the German Pavilion at Epcot
many good choice there.
There are alot of fun choices at the Confectionary on Main St. in the MK
The Bread Sticks with sauce at the Pinocchio Village Haus is a good use of a snack credit also.
They have some really fun cupcakes too for the holidays in all the parks right now that we enjoyed.
Hope this helps and have fun, the choices are endless.
