What constitutes a "package"?

We're thinking about going 11/4-11/9. Last year, we went in Oct., used AAA, booked a package, and only got the room discount. I'm thinking of just booking the room (family suite) and DDP through AAA this year and buying tickets from The Official Ticket Center.
1.When using a AAA TA, do you have to buy a package, and would room and DDP be considered a pkg??
2. Has anyone bought tix through The Official Ticket Center?? If so, how was your experience??
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. We're on a tight budget this year--airfare looks like $900. Any suggestions?

To answer one question, Yes, room and DDP is a package. A room only is just that, Room Only.
To get DDP you will need to buy a MYW package either through AAA or WDTC.

Any package that includes the dining plan, whether booked thru Disney, AAA or regular TA MUST include at least a 1-day base ticket per person.
