Hi everyone,

I have recently been looking at several condo style resorts, Wyndham Bonnet Creek, Floridays etc..

I would just like to know if there are any resorts that I should steer clear of where the, lets just say, not so nice families may stay (I hope that makes sense to the Brits, don't want to say the word lol)

I am going with my Sister and we would like to stay somewhere decent and not have to worry about parents who like their Stella and kids that are disrespectful. ;)

I don't mean to sound harsh but we, like everyone will be spending a lot of money on our trip and we want it to be enjoyable. Plus, we have only ever stayed in villas so this is very new to us.

Thanks for your help :goodvibes

I think all condo resorts will have lots of children - one of our main reasons for booking floridays over a villa is so DD can meet other children at the pool to play with.

I know floridays has a quiet pool aswell - may be better looking at resorts that offer faciliities like that.

Is it October school hols you are going? One thing I noticed going Oct 2010 was alot more brits about - we used go out of school hols. can you change your dates?

Or if you definitely want peace and quiet maybe look for a villa.

Do you think the Lake Buena Vista Resort would be busier then? I guess that ship in the pool is a real attraction for families with kids.

We will be visiting on Oct 18th for 14 nights, I'm hoping it won't be too bad as the kinds only have a week off.

We're booked at Floridays too, from 25 June until 6 July. We've stayed there three times before and like it a lot. The main pool can be busy with lots of kids but we always managed to get chairs and DD usually finds someone to play with. We do like onsite (stayed at SSR in Sept 2010), but it was three times the price in June/July and no discount so Floridays it is!

And I do love being right next to Premium Outlets LOL.

I have been looking at condos as an alternative to onsite (if the price keeps going up). Has anyone tried the Blue Heron Resort of Sheraton Vistana? Both seem reasonable and have good reviews.

I know that Blue Heron is more than half the price if both Vistana's

I saw the Sheraton for about £1200 and the Blue Heron for about £800 on Alpharooms- is the Sheraton that much better?:confused3

Sheraton Vistana Villages comes highly recommended by us ......... please be aware this is not the Vistana Resort, the Villages is in the Southern most area of International Drive, Quiet yet with easy access to the Premium Outlets, WDW, Seaworld and DC. Stayed in a 2 bed villa twice, large pool which is never crowded - Mum stayed in 1 bed which was just as nice :lovestruc

We stayed at Cane Island resort last year for 3 weeks and loved it. Pool area was small, but quiet and easy to relax at. Loads of restaurants within walking distance. Disney 10 mins. away, Universal 20.

Booked through Alpha Rooms and got a great price, not sure how much it is for this year though.

Any questions, just ask.:thumbsup2

We've stayed at Cypress point, Celebration resort and Silvelake. All have been great with no complaints. We are staying at Orbit one on our next trip and paying £310 for 2 weeks.

Some schools have 2 weeks off including my DD's. Alot of parents seem to pull out for a week aswell. August is too expensive for alot of families now.

It was our first school hols trip and I really noticed the difference in the amount of children.

Sorry no help with resorts not stayed at any of them.

Is premium walkable from floridays? I don't usually drive in florida but am contemplating being added as an extra driver - I think i'd be ok driving around the corner.

We've booked floridays with thomas cook online for this October. Just had a look and the great deal we got has gone (was a glitch I think) but cypress pointe grand villas 2 bed is £886.76 on there - 55% off. Never stayed there but it is in the area you wanted.

Thomas cook online were doing a deal that if you booked a flight aswell you saved 10% on your holiday overall aswell.

Yes, you could walk to Premium Outlets from Floridays but I think driving is better. There's no pavement for part of the way and since I never come away from there empty handed I like to have the car to transport my bags LOL. Plus, it might be uncomfortable in the heat or if there was a heavy shower you'd be soaked. Its just a few minutes by car.

Wow...that is a very good price for 2 weeks. May I ask where you book this great offer?

We booked through skyauctions, its a u.s. company. we had a great deal on vouchers they sell. We've used them many times.
