What comes to mind when you think about Minnesota? - need help with a project

When i think of Minn. i think of it being too cold, and way too liberal. Also think of the good old days when the Vikings played outdoors at the Met with Bud Grant as coach and the cold weather they played in, rather than the papmered BS of in door stadiums.

Ok, here's an odd one...the first thing I thought of when I read this question was "home of Dairy Queen"! Guess where my first job was?

I am born and raised in Washington State. My husband lived in Villard until age 14, when he moved to Washington.

I love Minnesota----The whole state---The best of all are the residents---the friendliest folks I have met anywhere.

Thanks everyone. I have been to exploreminnesota.com but didn't find it terribly enlightening for someone who lives in MN. I really appreciate your thoughts on what says "Minnesota" to you. As a Minnesotan, there are somethings you take for granted that people either don't care or know about or connect with MN. (For example, I never would have thought of the skyway system until someone mentioned it here.) That's why your input is valuable. This will make for a well rounded display.
