What colour of MagicBand will you/did you choose?

We'll be arriving the last day of November, and the option to customize MagicBands just opened up for us today!

So, now I must make the ever-so-critical decision of what colour my band should be.

What colour did you and your family choose and why did you choose that colour? (Or, alternately, what colour will you choose, and why?)

I hate wearing any kind of Jewelry. I've been married 18 years and the last day I wore my wedding ring was at the ceremony. If I go to concerts I get extremely irritated at wearing those tyvek wristbands. The last thing I want on me when I'm hot is a rubber wrist band that make me sweat even more.

I chose green, my favorite color after purple (which wasn't an option). DH is yellow, DD is blue and DS is red

we pretty much got them all. 2 orange, 2 grey, a pink, red, blue, yellow and 2 green. I wanted to see them all so I "encouraged" my party of 10 to get different colors. LOL

DD and I will have pink because it's our favorite color. DH's preference it the gray.

DH: Blue (though he switched from red to yellow to blue in a 14hr period)
MIL: Orange (good thing I asked, I would never have picked it for her - all I knew for sure was "not pink")
FIL: Yellow (but purple was the first choice - too bad it's not an option)

But you don't have to wear them! Just hook 'em on your belt.

Or alternately, don't get one at all. I saw something when I was clicking through about being able to exchange your band for a card.

Each MagicBand contains an HF Radio Frequency device and a transmitter which sends and receives RF signals through a small antenna inside the MagicBand and enables it to be detected at short-range touch points throughout Walt Disney World Resort. MagicBands can also be read by long-range readers located at Walt Disney World Resort used to deliver personalized experiences, as well as provide information that helps us improve the overall experience in our parks.

If you prefer, you may elect to use a card instead of a MagicBand. Cards contain a passive HF Radio Frequency chip and cannot be detected by the long-range readers.

So there you go! "None" is indeed an option.

Blue for October, red for November

Do you get a new MagicBand for each trip? I thought you were supposed to keep them to reuse on multiple trips.

We're a family of 7, and there are 7 colors, so we each have a different one.

I got pink because I have 5 sons. As the only female in the family, I'm always assigned pink. In fact, I purposely buy things in pink when I want to be sure that no one "borrows" my stuff.

For our Nov. 30th Reservation:
Red for me!
Blue for my DH (I couldn't vote twice... )

I've been told that for our next reservation starting Dec. 1st we get another set. (don't know that for sure yet, and don't know how long that will last if it does.)

If we do get to choose another set I will get pink or green for me, and probably grey for DH..

My husband and I both chose red. I have no idea why...the color just looked the nicest to me, and he said he wanted a red one for whatever reason. My daughter chose blue, because that is the color of light sabers that Jedis use. She told us we were on the Dark Side for choosing red. LOL. My son choose green, because it's his favorite color. My daughter thinks he chose green for Jedi-related reasons.

It's kinda a moot point for us. Each of us hate them for a different reason so I don't think we'll be wearing them, and I have no desire to lug them to the parks for no good reason.

I chose grey in August, but I chose orange in October for MNSSHP.

I chose grey so it would blend in and not clash with my clothing like the other colors would. DH chose green because he liked that color option the best.

I chose red in the poll because it was the first color I chose. Then there was a glitch and I got a second set. I went with gray that time because it is neutral. By January, due to a couple of split-stays, I will have all 7 colors. I find it wasteful but there is nothing I can do about it. If I don't customize them I will end up with all gray ones so I might as well pick a different color each time.
