I just put up my tree and bought white garland for the very first time. I thought it would be nice to change it up. But I didn't really like it. I ended up taking the white down and putting up my old blue/silver garland.

So, what colour garland do others use?

I have 4 - two silver and two blue/green. I use them all.

One is thick and red/green/white. The others are metallic gold star, blue, red, and a wooden one with red beads and what looks like the red peppermint round candies. The don't all go one every year..just depends on the day lol

I have tinsel. I tried garland but I couldn't get it to hang right.

Usually no garland here either.

We did do popcorn and "cranberries" (wooden beads) one year, and strings of gold beads another - but most of the time, it's just lights and ornaments scattered all over.

I had a thin silver and gold garland that was nice. A couple years ago I bought rose gold and that was pretty. This year I think I'm going back to silver and gold but I'm getting a thicker one. They had a nice one at Target in the Wondershop.

We have various colors and alternate from year to year. Or sometimes no garland. Silver, gold, white, and red. Maybe another color too. We usually put up two or three trees. Last year I bought a slim black pencil tree, and the red garland looked great on it.

My nutso father used to call it "judy."

I don't like traditional Garland. My garland was pearls. I also cannot stand tinsel.

No garland or tinsel, just lights and ornaments. But a LOT of lights, lol!

I know most people don't use garland on their tree anymore but I always will for nostalgic reasons. Silver.

I have some red and green combo garland that I use to decorate elsewhere around the house.

We use gold on a real tree that we pick out as a family every yr. - tradition from my home. DH wanted tinsel from his tradition when we first married, tried it one yr. for him, and that was the only time.

We don't put garland on our tree and tinsel is a mess. Every year I say I'm going to do ribbon but never do. I got a really cool vintage looking fake tree at an antique shop and I put red bows on that one.
