In May, we're planning on painting our house. Right now its a medium blue color, with darker blue shutters and front door. Initially I was going to only paint the shutters black, and paint the front door a deep raspberry color, leaving the house blue. But then friends of ours offered to come over for a painting party, and I'm finding their offer hard to refuse!!
So now I can choose ANY color scheme for my house, and I really don't know which colors to choose.
We live next door to a log cabin house on one side, a very LIGHT gray house with pink door, on the other side of us. Directly across the street is a white house with black shutters and a red door.
So far I'm considering:
medium gray house, black shutters, deep raspberry door and window boxes.
OR
tan house... and NO IDEA for the colors for shutters and door!!
OR
a light blue house, black shutters, and the raspberry door and flower boxes.
I am really open to ANYTHING at this point. I need ideas!
Pictures of your houses would help too!
One more thing: My house is a ranch, with a cute wooden shed in the backyard that is visible from the street, so we'd paint the shed to match the house. It matches now, except the door isn't a darker blue like the front door on the house is.
