What color Crocs do you have?

http://nurses.100wd.net/shop/home.php?cat=312

Good prices here. She had the aspens at one point, I ordered some from her, but I don't see them now. Make sure you email her and find out if she's got what you want in stock first, especially if you want them by a certain time. She's great to order from though!

One more question! Regarding size, if I normally wear an 8-8.5, would you recommend going with size 7 Caymans? What about Beaches - 6/7 or 8/9? I never thought buying shoes could be this complicated. :rotfl:

ok...so let me word my question differently this time..

can you wear them without socks?

i live where it's in the 90's all the time and i don't even own socks....i'm not about to start wearing them now..

aren't they very sweaty when you wear them without socks?....plastic shoes are typically terribly sweaty and uncomfortable when worn without socks....is this true of crocs as well?

Hi Beth,
They aren't plastic. I bought my crocs when I lived in Hawaii. I never wore/wear socks (unless my feet are cold as they are now that I'm on the mainland in the PNW). On the island they were my "running shoes" and my feet were only wet in them if I actually ran in the surf. They are more like soft pliable lightweight foam than plastic. Not at all like those jelly shoes if that's what you are imagining.

Thanks for letting me know about the Caymans. I usually wear an 8-8.5, so I'm thinking the 8's would be good for me, too.

I also wanted to let you know that www.taylorshoes.com has the Caymans in Chocolate in your size. They only charge $5 shipping PER ORDER and ship USPS Priority Mail. :)

Thanks for the info. I already have mine so I am all set. If you have questions about sizes or fit you can call the crocs people directly. I would say that the Caymans only run slightly big. Mine fit great without the strap in the back, but were a little snug when I had the strap down. When I spoke to the crocs people they said that as long as my foot was comfortably in the shoe otherwise the back strap could stretch "like an elastic band"? Also, for size adjustments I have read other posts about putting them in the dishwasher or microwave... :confused3

Good Luck!

yes you're right...that's what i was thinking...thanks for answering so quickly...
i guess i'll have to try out a pair and see how they are..

I am so excited--our light pink Caymans came today! I ordered a pair for DD6 as well--she is excited to have shoes to match Mommy's. We are spending one day in MK the week of Thanksgiving (will be on East Coast of FL for the holiday week) and I ordered them based on recommendations from here and other sources that they are great for walking all day.

I had planned to get black or navy but some friends talked me into being a little more fun. These shoes are so ugly, they are cute! Love em!

No disrespect to CROC lovers, but they are so ugly. :guilty: I can't even bring myself to buy a pair even though they are incredibly popular. I prefer BORN and Merrell.

I've got black and khaki and I wear them all the time! Can't wait to use them when we go down later this month...I've been trying them out by walking around our large shopping mall and so far they're wonderful!

For a person who has trouble with normal shoes and walking a lot, these are answers to my problems! :cloud9:

I am so glad to see a thread about these shoes! When we were at WDW at the end of Sept, we saw these shoes EVERYWHERE! We swore they must have been selling them somewhere on property, but never saw them for sale. Then we got back to Texas and started seeing them in all the stores-along with the imitations. Anyway I think we want to buy some for the summer and for our next trip to WDW next winter. I have a couple of questions!

1. Are these really that comfy? I usually wear Timberland hiking shoes but I am looking for somthing different. Also my son has serious shoe issues. He will not walk out the door unless everything is "just right" meaning socks cannot have a single wrikle and nothing can be uncomfortable at all. We have had wars about this in our house!

2. What is the deal with the dishwasher/microwave? Does or has anyone done this? Do they mold to our feet? What is the deal with this?

3. How are they sized? It looks like some are sized a little big or small and some are numbered sizes and some s-m-l etc. How do they run? If someone could clarify which models run which way that would be great.

4. How many MEN out there wear them? My husband is a size 12-13. I see on the website they make them in that size and my Dh has a horrible time finding comfy sandals or summer shoes or WDW shoes. I was thinking a black pair would be good for him (with jeans or on way to the pool) for our next trip. Looks like mostly women and kids have them. Any men with big feet out there wear these?

Thanks!!

We're a croc family.
I have the sandals in pink and purple and a pair of caymans in the olive green. My DD5 has light blue, purple and red. My DH has black.
My DM has butter and whatever other color she bought when she was picking them up for us.
My Dniece has orange (very cool when wearing her Broncos outfit), purple and another color.
My Dsister has bright blue. My other Dsister has the white.

They are very comfortable. Don't care if they are ugly!
BTW, my DH has diabetes and arthritis. He is able to slip them on without bending his knees (big help) and he's found that the little nubs on the bottom of the shoe actually helps the bloodflow into his foot for the neropathy (sp?). Not sure if this would help everyone but it seems to ease some of his pain. My DH is a biker when he's feeling well and his wardrobe is predominately biker stuff but he has no problem wearing crocs. :sunny:

just got a pair of red off e-bay and I love them. I ordered myself another pair in black and my DS wanted some also in black. He has a large foot 12-13. My son is 15-year-old and he loves them.

Light blue Beach model here - I normally wear an 8.5, but my medium (8-9) crocs were actually a little too short for me. I know most people say they run big, but my big toe was definitely pushing the end! I tried stretching the strap, but it never worked until I put them in the dryer to warm them up first. As soon as they came out, I put them on and wore them around the house and they must have just molded to my feet, because now they're perfect. I wear them everywhere but church. I really want some khaki aspens for the winter.

Yes, they really are that comfy!

I just posted about this, but it was before I read your questions - I put mine in the dryer on low for a few minutes, then when they came out I put them right on my feet (over socks). They've fit perfectly ever since. However, if yours fit well from the beginning, there's no need to do this.

3. How are they sized? It looks like some are sized a little big or small and some are numbered sizes and some s-m-l etc. How do they run? If someone could clarify which models run which way that would be great.

The Beach model comes in s-m-l-xl, and these cover 2 sizes at a time - my Beaches are a medium, which is women's 8-9. I normally wear an 8.5, but surprisingly, they were a little short for my feet (which is why I did the dryer thing). Most people think they run large. The Cayman looks just like the Beach, but comes in single sizes. If I order these, I'm going to try a women's 9.

4. How many MEN out there wear them? My husband is a size 12-13. I see on the website they make them in that size and my Dh has a horrible time finding comfy sandals or summer shoes or WDW shoes. I've seen lots of men with them. Hubby tried some on, but he doesn't think they have enough arch support for him.

I have black and royal blue clog type and pearl sandal type. I LOVE THEM when I can pry them off my DD's feet!!! She keeps "borrowing" them!!!

I just found a pair of Pink Beach on clearance for $20 and HAD to have them. So now I have Black, Sea Blue and Pink in Beach!

I have a pair of black Nile sandals, a pair of white Nile sandals and a pair of white Beach clogs that I wear to work.

I am waiting for them to make the Nile sandals in khaki.

I have e-mailed them and begged them to do so, to no avail do far.
