I am going to see the characters hubby will do the rides I would like to book at elast 1 meal but not sure what would be fun as an adult? Will we be the only ALL grown up table in the middle of a sea of kids????????? What have you done in the past?

I love the Cape May Cafe - at the BC - I like the food - the characters are Goody, Chip and Dale. We will eat there just about every trip. At this place - no you will not be only grown up.

Mother adores Chief Mickeys at the Contemporary - I find it too loud for my taste - but it definitely has a party atmosphere. the characters when we were there are Mickey, Minnie, Goody, Pluto, Chip, and Dale and I think Donald.

Breakfast at the Crystal Palace in the Mk can be fun. It has Winnie the Pooh, Tiggere, Pigglet, Erogo (the donkey). I did not like dinner here - too crowded and of the characters we only saw two.

When we ate lunch at the Crystal Palace, I felt we kind of "stuck out" as the only table of just adults. I really don't remember at the 1900 Park Fair, but I know we felt very comfortable there, not surrounded by only families with young children (even if we were, didn't notice, didn't feel we "stuck out"). I definitely would recommend Park Fair.

Hi poohraedopey,
Try The Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. I was a solo there and was treated very well. I did not feel as if I stuck out at all. The characters are Minnie, Goffey, Pluto with Chip&Dale. They are dressed in colonial garb so you get a different look for characters. the meal is family style but they bring solos out on your diner plate. You can have more of any thing you like. The raspberry vinnerrete on the salad is great and deserts are made in the Taverns kitchen. I had a blast here. The character inter acted with each other and customers a lot.
I ate at Crystal Palace too and felt it was more like a fast food kid oriented restaurant. I personal didn't like the choices on buffet. the characters were great and the waitstaff too.

DH and I love Cinderella's for breakfast best, followed by 1900 Park Faire also for breakfast tied with Garden Grill for lunch.

Pick one.....My Wife and I have done; Wildreness Lodge, Cape May, Park Faire, Contemporary,
One in MGM, and Cindy's.....they're all fun......spruce

HI! My 26 y/o boyfriend and myself 24 enjoyed a dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern this past August. We were impressed with the service, food, and atmosphere of the restaurant. It's a nice choice because you odn't have to get up and down for the buffet. Instead, the plates are brought right to the table.

I have done several of these. My wife is a Pooh fan. I took her to the CP and proposed to her 2 years ago. I have done several solo and had a blast at evryone I have done. I would look at all of them and go with which one has your favorite caracter and have a great time. Don't forget to have something to get autographs in and take plenty of film. The more you interact with the caracters the more fun it is. Start talking to them first and they do soo much more. My wife had Goofy doing al kinds of things in way of flirting with her. It was such fun. Have a great trip.

My husband and I have had a lunch and a dinner at the Garden Grill. It is wonderful for adults only. The characters are so much fun. They really enjoyed sneaking up on my husband. We really loved our waiter back in October. He was really good and interacts with the characters. Our waiter last week was also good, but we missed having the other guy. If I can ever remember his name I will let you know so you can ask for him. He just made it even more fun for us. The Garden Grill is a must for us from now on. The food is also wonderful and so fresh!

My DH and I have done Chef Mickey's twice and loved it! We didn't feel out of place at all. The characters all came to our table and posed for pictures. They acted up with us just like they do with the kids. It was great! :)

Thanks for the input! I love pooh and co but the meal sods bad so we will rethink it! I think it will be a blast no matter where we go!

We've done Crystal Palace, Garden Grille, and 1900 Park Faire (when it was the Villains dinner). We liked the Villains best, too bad that's gone :( Garden Grill is great though, lots of interraction, really fun. After last trip we decided no more Crystal Palace. It's too bad, because I love Pooh and the restaurant is beautiful and the breakfast food pretty good - but we really felt completely ignored being only adults. It also had kind of a rushed feel, like "pay your money, get your pictures and get out." No offense to any CP fans - I was just kind of miffed. We're also going to eat at LTT next trip, glad to see some great reviews!

Hi,

It is just my husband and I and we do at least three character meals a trip. We always do a CB at 1900 Park Fare at the GF. We always do a CD at Chef Mickey's at the Cont. and since the AK opened we do a CB at Donald's Breakfastasaurs(sp?). We have fun. The characters have always been good. Some years we took pictures. This past trip we did not but the characters came over and hugged or waved to us and Minnie always gives my husband a kiss. We are never made to feel out of place. We have been married about eight and half years and are child free and we enjoy our trips to WDW very much.

I love charater meals. My favorites were Hollywood&Vine at MGM and Cape May Buffet at the Yacht Club :)

My children are grown, youngest is 22. We all love LTT. My parents loved it too when they went.

We did breakfast at Chef Mickeys, Contemporary! The characters paid attention to the adults, and the food was great!:)

I've only done character meals with my kids, but...I think any of the character meals would be just fine for adults.

ANother Question I knwo some of the meals are in the park and soem are at resorts how hard is it to do a meal at a resort and then go back to the parks or whatever? Hubby is anti resort meals wants to stick with parks only..........

Chef Mickeys is at the Contemporary which is within walking distance of MK. Park Faire is at the Grand Floridian which is on the monorail so it is convenient to Epcot and the MK. Both of those would work probably.

We went to WDW in December with another middle aged couple (no kids along) and I set us up at Chef Mickeys.

It was a riot and a great time. Lost of laughs......and when I got Chip and Dale mixed up and "he" knew it, I really got some ribbing from him, it, oh, whatever.
