We're going in March and I'm beginning to realize that I better get in gear & make some reservations if we're to go for a Character breakfast or meal. I heard they sometimes fill up right away????

My DD will be 7 when we go & my DS will be 4. So...I kind of want to please both of them...is this possible? princess: The Princess Storybook @ Epcot sounds really nice, but will this appeal to my son too? pirate:

I'm also considering Garden Grill & Crystal Palace. Any input would be great. How do I go about doing this? I know there's a number I took down, but is that for all/any of the character breakfasts/dinners, etc??

HELP

Hi Jeanne! You'll find fans of all the character meals here, so it's really just a matter of what sounds appealing to you. Of the ones you mentioned, I've been to Garden Grill and I highly recommend it. The food was good (we went for dinner, but they also have lunch) and the character interaction was great! It was Mickey, Pluto, and Chip & Dale in farmer attire. I think that restaurant is a little quieter than some of the other character meals too. I haven't been to any of the princess meals (I have 2 sons) so I can't comment on those. Crystal Palace (for any meal) is a good choice if your kids like Pooh characters.

If you have specific questions about any of the other character meals, feel free to ask.

Happy planning!

Don't forget the Garden Grill will be closed in March!

Crystal Palace is excellent, though, for both food and character interaction :D

Figure out when you are exactly 90 days from your trip and then make PS. I want to try for Cinderella's Royal Table. I liked Chef Mickeys- DS and DD had fun there, Crystal palace has great food and I love Pooh bear. Eyore signed our book and wrote our kids were cute! Fun! Cindy is the hardest to get. You have to call exaactly 90 days out!

The 2 character meals I've scheduled are Cindy's Breakfast (got ressies with help from people here) and dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern (early dinner on night of MVMCP). Both are new meals for me, but I'll let you know what I think when I return on the 17th.

We really like Donald's Breakfastosaurus at Animal Kingdom for breakfast!

We did Chef Mickey's for dinner. We all had a great time., I thought that thee food was good also

My son enjoyed the princess breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table at age 4 and again at age 6. They kiss the boys and leave big lipstick marks on their faces....he was proud of that at 4 and a bit embarassed at 6. We did not breakfast with the princesses last time when he was 8. We are doing the Epcot PSB this year because I want to try it, and because my 2 year old son will recognize the princesses........I am looking forward to it.

We love Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace and do them both every trip.

This year, we are trying Garden Grill and Liberty Tree Tavern.

We tried Donald's Breakfastosaurus once and really enjoyed it, but haven't gone back.........mainly because we try to do AK in only one day, and the breakfast takes too much time.

It'll be fun whatever you choose, but do get to choosing quickly!

Us too, we just did that one for the first time on Saturday!!!!

We also enjoyed the Chef Mickey breakfast.

We love the character meals! :cheer2:
We have done the one at the Poly (breakfast - the food was good not real busy so the characters spent a lot of time with us), Liberty Tree Tavern (decent food, was pretty busy so the characters didn't spend as much time with us), Garden Grill (Ok food, character interaction was great - this was dd's 2nd bday & Mickey Mouse brought out her cake), Twice at Donald's breakfast in AK (the custom ordered omlets made my husband a very happy man)! We are doing Chef Mickey's next Thursday night while there and have the princess storybook scheduled in January for dd's 4th bday! (Were doing the whole Disney Princess thing) :D

I love CP breakfast. The Pooh characters are fun and the food is great!

DD (6), DS (9) and DS (3) all LOVED the character breakfast @ O'Hanas. The characters are Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale. The kids paraded around the room, and the food was pretty good. Also, you can hop right on the monorail when you are finished if going to the MK, or it is a 6 minute walk to the TTC for the Epcot monorail.

Wife and DD also did Cindy's and had a great mother daughter experience. Princesses could not have been nicer according to my wife.

Have fun.

Crystal Palace had wonderful food and lots of interaction with Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet! We got an 8:00am at CP for breakfast and were done and at the ropes before the 9:00am park opening. I'd recommend Chef Mickey's also! We got a 5:00p for dinner and the food was nice and fresh and plenty of character interaction there too! They both serve B, L & D. Have a great trip!

We did Chef Mickey's for breakfast and it was fabulous! The food AND atmosphere were great!

Hey tidoublegger - Congrats on almost being done with nursing school, I have been a nurse for 4 years and school is tough! Hang in there!

We like Donalds Breakfastosaurus in AK for breakfast and for dinner we love Liberty Tree Tavern. We were there last week at LTT and characters visited our table about 3 times each. I would pick the meal by which the characters your kids would like to dine with. Have fun!

HELP

Just got back and did Breakfast at Chef Mickey's: Self, DH and 4 year old DS. We all had a ball and were very happy. DS ate the most there than anywhere else. The interaction with the characters was wonderful and my son said it was the coolest restaurant he ever went to EVER.. LOL. The characters present: Chip, Dale, Goofy, Mickey, Minney, Pluto.

Sorry I can't help with the 7 DD. Have a ball whereever you decide.

Dont do the breakfast at Ohannah's at the Poly. One of my few dissappointments with Disney dinning. There are many other much much better options for character breakfast options.

The breakfast I like best is at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian. They have Alice In Wonderland and Mary Poppins and Pooh and perhaps the White Rabbit as well. Sometimes Bert is there with Mary Poppins, too. The buffet is delicious, the service 1st rate, and it is not quite as loud as some of the other breakfasts. We had a lot of character interaction here, as well.

That being said, my all time favorite character meal is lunch at the Garden Grille with Mickey, Chip and Dale and Pluto. Love the food, the characters and the fact that the dining room slowly rotates while you eat and if you are sitting on the lower section, you can see the Listen to the Land ride from your table.

The Princess breakfasts are very difficult to come by, and unless your boy is really into the princesses, he may not be too interested.

Is the Ice Cream Social with Farmer Mickey still available at the Garden Grill? We did this in 2003 and loved it. Our ice cream sundaes were like pieces of art.
