I live in Florida all winter and New York in the summer for the past 23 years

I have seen the magic taken out of the theme parks and would love to see it restored.

Even the attitude of the employees have changed.

We need a lot of pixie dust to correct it.

Maybe I'm just wishing upon a star

No snowbird.....you're not asking for the impossible. Give us a company who has faith in it's CM's and who is willing to invest in them (again)....that's the PD that's needed to encourage the CM's to do what it is they WANT to do.......Bring back the full lenght of "Traditions" training.....pay a living wage......you asked if you're 'wishing on a star'....well.....if TWDC 'let's their conscience be their guide'......not only will profitss improve, but the rank and file attitude will too!

I'd like to see the parks open extended hours in the summer & holiday times without having to PAY EXTRA!!!!!

I remember "closing out" the MK at 1 a.m. in my younger days. There was nothing like it.

Utilize the "old parts", or get rid of them. (the skyway buildings, 20 K lagoon, Odyssey Restaraunt, etc. etc.). It's kinda' sad to see these areas just sitting there. Use 'em, or get rid of them & put something new there.

Do something about the Transportation. I know the buses are probably the most cost-effective, but they are about as "magical" as the subway in Chicago.

Plant more trees. Big, thick ones that hide stuff.

I have even been wondering why the turnstiles/pass machines don't play the tinkling PD like noise like they use to.
It was small touches like this that made Disney special.
CoP has been open lately. Timekeeper has not. If an attraction can be open and operating, it should be. Better than a big building standing idle.

I would like to see E:E built to the same caliber as Revenge of the Mummy. (which I am hoping will be open for business on 5/15 during my visit to US Hollywood)

I would also like to see Space Mountain completely renovated at WDW.

Keep wishing on that star. According to CNBC this morning 37% of shareholders are witholding Eisner as CEO of Disney. We may see changes soon if someone new with creative energy takes the lead.
So keep wishing on that star!!

With attendance up, some of your wishes might start to make financial sense to the bean-counters within the company. So write those letters, kids, and keep up the pressure.
*Longer CM Training and better wages
*Clean rest-rooms
*Scrape the baloney off Epcot and add pavilions
*Some new rides with educational value, to stand beside the new thrill rides
*Dead areas renovated and repurposed
It can happen!

I am happy to see I am not the only one hoping for changes.

I will always keep wishing on that star and sprinkle
pixie dust where ever it is needed , after all I'm
a 56 year old lady who will never grow up when it comes to
Disney :earsgirl:

I wish that they'd go back to the original intentions that Walt had when he concieved the concept of Disneyland and WDW. Then they'd only need to update things instead. Makeovers are for television shows ... not for WDW. I guess no one ever told them that if it's working, don't fix it!

I'd like to see new dark rides (magical rides). Although I think some thrill rides are an asset to WDW I feel that the dark rides are what set it apart from the average theme park. It's sad when they take away a magical ride and replace it with a thrill ride that not everyone could ride:( . I always get the chills in these rides and I come out feeling "Ahhhh". I also agree with the other changes from the above posters.:

Without being too cliche, I strongly feel that any changes made should be in answer to the question "What would Walt do... Today?"

Disney was all about family, the parks were designed so that families could enjoy the rides *together*... Entertainment was wholesome, and imagination and creativity were truly encouraged and delighted in. Magic is an element that would be included whenever possible.

Whatever is done or changed, these elements should always be present, no matter what the cost...

After all is said and done, what lives on is the memory, not the financial profit.
