What chance 4nights studio 8-12 nov?

Hi, we usually book way in advance so no experience of using points late on. Basically we are already there 10 night but now hoping to extend for extra 4 in a studio ANYWHERE.
Phoned up and said no availability. I was surprised as low season etc.
Just wondering if anyone can advise on likelihood of us getting in somewhere for these specific 4 night? our use year is feb so only have til sept 30th to bank points if not using them and wouldn't want to keep any back if we aren't likely to get in. We would want all 4 nights in same place as travelling with a baby and 4 year old so wouldn't want to be packing up every night.

From what I've heard, DVC is pretty much soldout for the rest of the year. Fall is the most popular time for DVC members.

I would bank the points and if a waitlist comes through you can borrow next year's points.

I have been trying to find something for the night of 11/10 for nearly 3 months. I finally just booked a cash room for that one night. 11/11 is Veterans Day, that week is "Jersey Week" and the weekend of the 11th/12th is the last weekend of F&W.

What I would do is, see if you can add the night of the 8th....then the 9th....and go from there. Add one night at a time, if you can. You are not going to get 4 nights in a studio no less, barring a miracle.

We don't really mind where we stay but we do want to get in somewhere.Its such a pain that last minute is proving so hard, I can understand it but it does surprise me that there is nothing at OKW or saratoga which I know are the least popular. We actually quite like saratoga, its our home resort and we like the proximity to DTD so would be more than happy to stay here.

You are falling into the end of F&W festival. Veterans Day holiday. Jersey Week. And I think the start of the Christmas parties. This is a very popular time. And to go by the low number of points and think this is less popular time is falacy. From early October to early January is one of the most popular times for DVC members. You can't wait until 30 days out and expect to find multiple days together in a single room category at a single resort.

OP.....call NOW!!! I just booked a 1br standard at Jambo from 11/5-11/10. They had a studio standard at Jambo AKL for the same dates.

When is jersey week this year? We are going to stay at Pop Nov 11 & 12 as 7 months out no availability for studios in every DVC..we are staying OKW Nov 13-20. So, most likely people are getting cancelled ressies. I didn't bother to wait list.

I must have gotten a cancelled ressie. I was waiting until Monday to make a reservation for my sister. I had holding pts. 139 of them

I had called a couple of weeks ago and the only thing they had was a 1br at SSR from 11/12-11/17. So I called Monday and it was still available. I even checked for the previous week. Nothing. Problem was that my 60 day mark was Tuesday. AAARG!! So I called Tuesday and the 12th was gone but they put me on a waiting list. So I asked if there was anything for the previous week. Low and behold, studio Standard at AK Jambo from Nov 5-10th. Asked about a 1br and that was available at Jambo too. So I jumped on that.

It is basically a crap shoot. Sister is so happy to be there for F&W.
