I have met:
Alan Alda (Actor - MASH)....at a play, got his autograph
Gary Bergoff (Actor - MASH) ... Met him at a signing for BP gas stations!)
April Wine .....Canadian Band....The drummers pen ran out since he was autographing on a wall. I hunched over and let him sign every single autograph using my back as a table! He wrote me an autograph thanking me for the use of my back!
Michael Stipe (Leads Singer REM)....I was back stage at the party after a concert. Got to meet and talk with him.
Corey Hart (singer - I Wear My Sunglasses At Night).....Met him at a signing and he asked if I would be at the concert that night. Told him I was sorry but had a funeral to attend! (my friend's mom.....if it had been a funeral within my family, I would not have been at the signing!)
Damon Wayans (Actor ...In Living Color) ...met in an airport and he signed an autograph. Sat with him about 20 minutes.
Dan Rather( Newscaster)....met at Rockefeller Center
Burton Cummings (Singer for Guess Who).....met and dated.
Eddie Van Halen (Guitar Player for Van Halen) ... Met him and went to a private party he attended and played at. It was at a bar downstairs in my hotel. The bouncer let my friend and I in. There were about 30 people in the bar including about 5 wait staff and the band! The band was a blues band and even though Eddie had just finished playing a concert a few hours before, he went on stage and played a 40 minute set with these guys. If you think he plays rock well....you have seen nothing until you see him play blues in front of a small room. Had my pic taken with him and he gave me some of his guitar picks for my friend in Canada. I told him she was his biggest fan and loved all of his music. I showed him a pic of her dressed up as him at Halloween and winning first prize at a contest! The guitar picks had a word in a foreign language on them and he told me what the word meant in english....I can not repeat that word here!
Rick Dees (DJ and sang Disco Duck)....plays at a charity event every year and gives out $100 bills at random to promote his music station. He looked at me and told me the way I looked in my dress was more than worth a $100 and handed it over to me. Also gave me his baseball cap and signed it, "Christina, I think I love you. Rick Dees"
Those are a few of the ones that stick out in my mind. I have met many more, but I honestly can not remember them all. It had been a fun life indeed.
