What causes a thread...

Knock knock jokes sometimes kill threads. Or maybe it's when I tell knock knock jokes the threads die?

If you want to have a thread last you need to put some really hot button issues on it. For example, the Pope is usually a good one, something complimentary to George Bush and conversely something uncomplimentary to Kerry or Kennedy
. IF you really want a hot topic take an emotionally charged topic like a person who has disappered and say the media is spending too much time. I have seen that one last a long time (not mine however). OH, and here is the real key go to a very Disney fanatic board and say prices are too high, you want to try and get a child 3 in as under 2 OR in any way imply that some people have a cult like loyalty to a theme park!! You will definately get some good milage out of those!! I have not really used any of them well alright once I did use the Pope and once I did use a Kerry one.

Anyone up for the challenge to try one!! OH I forgot to mention put on a flack vest and some flame retardent clothing first.

Doesn't Beastlover stay away from the political threads? HAs Melinda, or is it MAcy, maybe Michelle? has she retired for the evening? Haven't seen of her posts in a bit?

Look at the "my kids are picky eaters" thread by AuntPolly. She got a couple of days out of it but the heat got too much and they moved it from the Resort board to this board.

Personally I like to fly under the radar. Things are a lot safer that way. Sometimes I cannot shut my big mouth but for the most part being ignored is a good thing in MANY instances!

Well the fact that you can wear leather pants and a halter top alone is a reason to be noticed. If I did that they would want to know what herd of cows had to die for the pants and if I was carrying a couple watermelons inside my shirt!!

Besides don't you remember the thread where they linked you to Brad Pitt?? I thought they were speaking of a celebrity named Michie and it was a guy and he was a rapper. I even went on line to google the name. I asked my son and he did not know anyone by that name. I got three seperate pm's from diff. people telling me it was you they were speaking about so see you are famous.

I often wonder why some go on so long - although I loved reading all the pages of the Hanname thread!

My goal in life is to one day start a thread that get's more than 3 responses!

I've killed my share of posts and I've started posts that dropped to page 6 like an anchor through the ocean.

Start a funny post. I just love funny posts, especially the ones where everyone has another funny story to contribute.

I avoid religious and political posts. I don't like arguing and I don't care if you want to call it debate, most of the time people end up arguing.
