What cant you order

Im going with my daughter to WDW in June we have the dining plan is there a cut off of what you can and can not order I know appitazers (sp) and Beer,wine etc but as for dinners is there a dollar set amount we can not go over ..Do we have to order off a special menu..Is there a "set limit"

I was curious about this as well. We have adr's for captain jacks at downtown disney . We want to order the lobster which is $31.99 has anyone been there recently and ordered this on the dining plan? Does the free dining differ from the regular as far as what u can order?

There is no $$ amount that you are limited to, but very few locations do have a limitation or two... but these are very rare. For the most part you can order anything you like.

As for Cap N Jacks, I have not been there recently but have seen other posts that reflected that the lobster is still allowed!

The twin lobsters were allowed last Sept. and better be allowed this June and Sept. we already have ADR's for both months and looking forward to the lobsters again. They have great crab cake apps. but will have to do those OOP this year.

I was wondering the same thing as well. We have the DxDDP, and I really want to get our money's worth when we go. I'm curious to see if anyone has ever had a limitation and what the limitations were.

I saw somewhere and it might have been on the post everything you need to know about dining or most frequently asked questions any who, it said that only a few places have limitations and i think the only one at captain jacks if you add on a lobster tail, you have to pay oop. and at the japanese TS restaurant at EPCOT you can't get a combination dinner I believe it said but those are the only two i can remember.

The twin lobster tails at Cap'n Jacks are included, but as has been mentioned, the lobster tail add-on is not.

Narcoosees (2 credits) has lobster on the menu.

As far as I know these are the only places that have lobster available that is not part of another dish.

Last year a couple of the sushi dishes at California Grill were not available as appetizers (they had to be ordered as entrees) but this is only relevant now if you are on the deluxe plan.

Free dining is treated no differently from the regular dining plan. When you enter the restaurant they are not going to ask you whether or not you got the plan free.

We didn't go anywhere too fancy on our trip, and nothing was ever excluded. Dbf even got 28$ king crab legs at Coral Reef! The dining plan is designed so that you can (hopefully) save money and that Disney can make some... they're really not trying to restrict you.

You can't order on the Dp....The French Menu at Les chefs de France, or the abbondanza family meal at Tutto italia.I am not sure about anyplace else.
