Staying 2nights at the BWV in March. I believe we have poolview. This is our 1st time there. What should we make sure we dont miss?

We'll be at the VWL 2nights before switching over. Figure MK & AK from VWL, EpCot & MGM from BWV. Good plan

What you probably have is a "Preferred-Garden/Water" view, which in that case I would make sure you request a pool view to make sure you don't get one of the villas at the very end of the hall that faces the valet lot (there is a small waterway and garden area that I guess makes this a preferred view).

Enjoy your trip!

Don't miss walking into Epcot...there is something really charming about the International Gateway. But don't be too tempted to walk to MGM, the walk is much less charming.

The Bellevue room is also charming. And I like to sit on the porch overlooking the village green in the rockers with a book - it is what I do early in the morning before the kids get up so I don't wake everyone in the room (so if its October and its 6:30 in the morning, and an unshowered woman wearing what looks like yesterdays clothes is devouring books in one of those rockers - say hi).

Make time to check out the street performers on the BW - if they are there while you are. I'm not sure if they are worth a special trip to the BW, but we always enjoy watching them if we happen to walk by.

Flying Fish is my favorite restaurant on property, but it is pricey and it does specialize in fish.

I can recommend the waterslide if you don't mind getting wet - or waterslides - or clowns. Fortunately, none of these things bother me, so I like the waterslide.

My home resort!!
Here's what I love:

1.) The feeling each night of being part of the action, like you went out for the evening even if its just walking around your own resort. The Boardwalk comes alive each evening with street performers, a midway, and don't forget you can see the Illuminations fireworks each night.

2.) Surrey bikes are fun (when you ride them anyway, a pain when you are trying to walk and avoid them :rotfl2: ) Make sure you have strong legs to go up hill in a couple spots. :)

3.) The Bakery- YUMMY!

4.) I love walking into EPCOT at night for a dessert break in France. I get my champagne and a chocolate crepe! OR in UK for a beer and fish and chips. Its like having EPCOT as an extended food court or backyard.

5.) Pool is great, as is the pool bar. Nice snacks and drinks. Smoothies for kids. (coconut/strawberry)

6.) Its beautiful lit up at night and makes for a lovely, romantic evening stroll. You can even sit on the beach at the Y&B resort. Just beautiful.

7.) Jellyrolls! Great fun! (piano bar)

8.) ESPN club- great for kids! They have an arcade and there is another by the pool.

9.) Walking to MGM is nice, gets the exercise in and no waiting for a boat.

10.) Everything! Its an awesome place to stay!

Have a great time!!! :cool1:

Spoodles is good for breakfast or dinner. :wizard:

Spoodles is great! One bad thing about the BW is that you have to go outside to get to any restaurant. But that is mitigated by the number of great places to eat.

Flying Fish is wonderful - I especially like the cheese plate there!

ESPN is great to watch a game.

If you are right by the pool, be aware that unless you are on the same side as the clown, you might see the big glowing clown head, which does glow all night long as I recall. We made sure to pull those curtains!

It is a very fun place. From time to time, musicans and other acts even roam the BoardWalk. Nothing beats the view of it from the water.

We always mean to try Atlantic Dance (so sorry we missed when it was swing back in the 90's!), but never get around to it. Ditto Jellyrolls, although I hear it's great.

What should you not miss?
hmmmm :scratchin
That's easy!
Jellyrolls can't be missed!

Keep in mind you have to be 21 to get into JR!!! If your ds is with you that might be an issue. Otherwise, it's a 'must do'!!!
I'm another one that loves to just sit and rock on that porch!! So relaxing, and the people watching is terrific. That's one of the things I like about going to WDW frequently...I don't feel like I'm wasting time if I'm just sitting and rocking! I can stop and smell the roses so to speak.
