What can you tell me about Mickey's Backyard BBQ?

We are heading to the World in 29 days and I am finalizing my ARs and it just occured to me that Mickey's Backyard BBQ might be open when we are there. In the past we have always visited in January so it was never an option.

1. Is this on the DDP? 1 or 2 TS?
2. Which characters are there?
3. How is the food?
4. Is there entertainment and how is it?
5. If you had to pick between Hoop-De-Doo and Mickey's BBQ which would you pick?

We went to Hoop-De-Doo in January and really enjoyed it. I thought the fried chicken was the best I ever had and the show was a blast for the whole family. I am getting the impression that Mickey's BBQ is similar but would love to hear from some folks who have been there.

We have gone to MBYBBQ 3 out of our last 4 trips.

Is this on the DDP? 1 or 2 TS? Not sure, never used the DDP.

Which characters are there? All 3 times - Micky, Goofy, Chip, Dale, and Minnie. I think Donald might be there too, not positive though.

How is the food? It is true BBQ type food - Hot Dog, Burgers, Ribs, Chicken, Corn on the Cob and other BBQ type items. We always have enjoyed the food.

Is there entertainment and how is it? Yes there is a band and the Characters dance and play games with everyone on the dance floor.

P.S. Some good news for me always has been that it is - ALL YOU CARE TO DRINK

P.S.S. Bad News is only Bud and Bud Light.

Hoop de Doo is the one for you! Very good show and best ribs and fried chicken in the World, maybe the world. Beats burgers and hot dogs. It also has all you want Bud Light, wine or sodas. Two dining credits

I consider true BBQ food to be smoked meats and veggies slow cooked with a wood fire. Ribs would qualify if cooked properly.

I'd like to see this show and food but its a bad value on the DDP (2 TS).

You make a valid point. Most people do not have the means to cook over a wood fire in their back yards. So when I am invited to a "Back Yard" BBQ like MBYBBQ I feel the my description was accurate.

P.S. If you are going to invite me to a Back Yard BBQ please have some beer available besides Bud and Bud Light
