what can you tell me about boma

My DH and I like simple food choices (my DH has serious food allergies), lots of meat, rich soups, plenty of salads and of course rich desserts. We tried the Boma on our last night in 2002 and we loved the food and service so much we made a PS for breakfast the next morning. Since then we have been at the Boma 6 times and have 3 PS's for our up coming trip. Our favorites are the roasted pork loin, ribs, salmon, chicken salad, seafood curry and of course the zebra domes, and paw print brownies.

The breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day. We love the Frunch, custom made omelets, breakfast pizza, sticky buns (with lots of pecans), smoked ham and pots of Kenya AA coffee.

I.m curious..what are Zebra Domes? They sound good!

I am not laughing at YOU. Your post reminded me of a conversation I had with my oldest DD. I kept telling her how I couldn't wait to try a zebra dome when we were getting ready to have dinner at Boma on our last trip. She looked at me with this puzzled expression and asked what a zebra dome was.

I told her.. A zebra dome is a little dessert made from zebra milk.



The look on her face was priceless. Then she asked.. "Zebras have MILK?"

My 15 y/o son and his 2 friends loved it and are still talking about it. That was last July. Need I say more.

Boma's is at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Well worth the trip. It's one of our favorites. When we lived in Celebration we'd go over at least once a month for dinner (DDE). My DH isn't into veggies, but loves spices (not necessarily hot). The foods are very flavorful. There are a lot of interesting choices, but plenty of standard fare as well. The soups are great and I love the peanut butter rice.

We ate breakfast there last month. There were plenty of typical breakfast foods for my sons to eat. Actually, it was mostly typical stuff, and then a small area with some African dishes (that I enjoyed). My dh did the dinner buffet twice and he enjoyed it.

The Zebra Domes are DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! You can get them at the dinner buffet, and you can also get them from the "Grab N Go" section in Mara. YUMMY!!!
