I will be staying at ASMu the first weekend in Dec. How is their food court?

We stayed there in August and were very pleased with the choices. They had an oriental salad that was very good. The pizza was also good. We did try breakfast one morning and were pleased with our choices. They also had a bakery, but we did not buy anything there. They do have an area with carton drinks, yogurt, fruit plates and pre-made sandwiches. The drink stand could be a little treacherous at times. Sometimes it was too many people trying to get drinks. We preferred to walk past the drink stand and sit further away from the crowds. It was much quieter and pleasant. Lunches were around $5-7 and dinner was around $6-10. I think my biscuits and gravy for breakfast was about $3.50.

We will be at ASMu for the 3rd time from 11/29-12/8 and the food court is one of the main reasons we stay at the AS's. After a day in the parks the last thing I want to do w/ a 6YO and a 3YO is sit down at a restaurant. Even to WDW I still am concerned w/ their behavior and when they are tired it is not conducive to a quiet relaxing dinner. The louder the better.
There is a huge selection of food and it is very convenient. There is also a microwave and a toaster in the dining area that looks like it could be used for late night microwave popcorn or to toast a bagel.

We just got back from ASMu today. We thought the foodcourt was great! It was the first time we had stayed at any of the All Stars. The food choices were great. We had the chicken Quesadilla (sp) twice actually because it was so good. The food was good and the prices were very reasonable. Even though we only stayed two days we bought the cups. Our room was close enough (not in a preferred building) that we walked over quite a few times for refills.

where did you stay? I have requested Broadway, but am thinking of calling and asking for Jazz instead. Thanks for the reviews of the food court...I will give the oriental salad and the chicken quesadillas a try. I am with you, m&m's mom, after a long day at the park, I just want something convenient, but not necessarily junk.

We stayed @ASMo last year and the food court was many times better than CR the year before. This year we're staying @ASMu and I'm glad to hear that it's just as nice. We're looking forward to it. I just don't think you can beat it for a quick meal. Have a wonderful trip! 33 days to go for me!

My 8th stay at ASMu will be in early Dec also. I use the food court every day for a early breakfast. Now that EE is back I can go back to a fast meal then to the bus stop. The food court is just fine with me. The only bit of information I can add is that not all of the stations open at the same time. If you are getting there when they first open some of the selections will not be available.
Early Dec is a great time to go.

I wouldn't eat the spicy chicken! one word YUCK!!!!
I was chicken tenders breaded but they put hot sauce on it.
It would have been better without the hot sauce.

To me the any of the AS food courts are better then Dixie Landings, Port Orleans or any of the deluxe's - who only have little snack stands.

Food Court at ASMu is really good. Get the refillable mugs, we used them at least a couple times a day. It's a cheerful place to eat - very Disney. Have fun.

We were in Jazz Rm 9451. It was SO convienient to the foodcourt. Basically we had a VERY short walk down our building then a walk in front of the Calypso building. We were also right in front of the playground which our kids adored and very close to the pool. Nothing was a very long walk from where we were.

thanks - lvs_eeyore, I called this morning and asked that we be in Jazz instead of Broadway. We are getting into Orlando around 11, so should be at the resort by noon. I figure there is a pretty good chance I will get what I want. I checked the weather for our trip, nice and hot!!! I have my fireplace lit right now...can't wait for the sun!!!
