What can we expect at Destination D?

I will be at my first Destination D this year and I am so excited! I know it is a different event than the D23 Expo, but will it be as crowded? Everyone spent most of the time sitting in line for the next presentation, even missing some presentations because of it. I am pretty sure I didn't even eat much unless it came out of my purse! Don't get me wrong, it was an amazing experience. I was just wondering if Destination D tends to have the same problem with crowds and lines.

You'll have to line up three times each day :confused3 as the venue is emptied during lunch and dinner breaks, but everyone who has a ticket will have a seat.

But if you don't care about being right in front (there were video screens) or have people you want to sit with, you don't have to line too early.

I don't care where I sit, as long as I have a seat! Thank you for the info. I am so relieved!

We are going also. I wonder what other DISers will be there???

It's a great day to be alive!!!

Here is a link to info regarding Destination D:

It's SOOOOO much different than the Expo and so much more enjoyable. With your ticket you are guaranteed a seat to every session and the line ups are fun, too! You meet so many interesting peeps. I was there two years ago and it was marvelous...lots of cool freebies and lots of up close experiences with many Disney legends. It is more expensive this time around, but for the experience you get, it is well worth the money!!! Can't wait...only a few weeks away!

I'll be there with my Disney friend. To the OP, Destination D is great!! As others have said if you have a ticket you have a seat. There are not different presentations you have to choose..everyone sees everything. The DLH Ballroom is not huge and they have screens set up so you see it all..no need to line up but the last time many, many did and then hopped in line as soon as the room was empty for the next session and had someone to run get food to eat in line. If you don't care where you sit, don't sweat it. Last time, my friend and I rejoined the line after it had gone around the corner (parking garage? I dunno where were standing actually) and we always ended up left of the stage, about mid way back, and with the screens it was fine. So much easier than the Expo since you don't have to choose what to see and you are guaranteed a seat! The line up looks amazing!! So very excited. We saw Dick VanDyke and the Vantastyks at the Expo and they were great and a concert by Alan Menken..well, wow. Don't miss the movie screenings either..I own both of those movies and they are very interesting and the commentaries will probably be really enlightening.:thumbsup2
