Hi all...

Looking to pay as many things as possible in advance... (ie)

Can you pay for the poly luau? Hoop dee doo..., Fantasmic?

Also - anyone know if you can buy Disney Dollars online?

Thanx

Did you look into doing one of the packages?? We are doing the gold package for just that reason. All of our meals, recreation, room, tickets, tours are already paid for. The luau is included as a meal . Also, Cirque de soleil is included. They also give some choices such as a storytelling thing, leave a legacy tile or miniature golf. If you plan on doing alot of the extras, I think it is a really good deal.

You buy disney dollars at the Disney Store, you can not buy them online.

If you want to get a package, you can pick one that come with meals.

The only other way to pay for meal in advance is to buy meal vouchers or GCs. ( I have GCs for Rainforest Cafe)

Hi.. I didn't want to book the gold package because we are staying in concierge for 8 nights - so we have breakfast already - and snacks/desserts.

Last year we did breakfast with Cinderella at MK, Storybook breakfast at EPCOT and Donald's at DAK... we are kind of getting past the character meals now - I was just hoping to pay for a few "certainties" in advance.. like the Luau etc...

Thanx for your help.

Hi, I know how you feel, I try to pre-pay for as much as possible so I don't have any surprises when I get home. I purchase enough Disney dollars to pay for $10.00 in snacks per day we are there. You are in Concierge so you may not need this. I plan my PS's and then purchase the connections vouchers around them (ex. if I have two character breakfasts planned I order vouchers accordingly, if we are going to have lunch at a place that accepts vouchers I purchase them accordingly as well. Occasionally I save up points for gift certificates I can use while there (rainforest Cafe for example). Once I book things like the luau or HDD I get travelers checks in the amount I was told the total would be when I booked. Character dinners I do the same with the travelers checks. Since I can get them in $20.00 denominations I usually get enough for one meal each week as I am planning. Hope this helped!!:)

If you are not convenient to a Disney Store to get Disney Dollars, another possibility would be to stop by your bank or credit union of choice and get some travelers checks. Then when you check in to your resort, go ahead and pay the travelers checks against your account (creating a credit), and then charge as much as you can to your room. (Obviously, this approach only applies if you are staying at a Disney Resort.)

On a previous trip, I carried enough TCs to pay for my room, with enough excess to cover the main sit-down meals I planned, plus a few souvenirs. I just plunked down the whole kit-and-kaboodle when I checked-in and then charged to my room after that. By the time I checked out, I had used the credit plus a bit more that got billed to my credit card, but the amount billed was a relatively small amount. (And I still avoided carrying lots of cash.)

Just another approach... :earsboy:

I wouldn't want to buy Disney Dollars because you never know how much you might end up with at the end that isn't used. But what I plan to do and make up 'envelopes' and have cash for the different things we are going to do. Now DH doesn't like us to have too much cash with us--but I don't want a big credit card bill when we came back.
