Once again I just have to say you have inspired me. Your boys are going to grow up as a very special men because of a mother like you (and I'm sure your husband is fantastic as well!). Best of luck to you in your future trips - may the Disney magic appear in all of them!

Thank you for your kind words. I truly hope that my boys will always think back on this trip and, even if they don't remember specifics, will have their chests swell with happiness at the thought. I'm having such withdrawals. We've discussed maybe the boys and I driving back in September. We homeschool, so we can go whenever, but the cost for tickets for the boys, room, food, etc. is definitely an issue. Then we thought maybe we'll wait for a few years so that the 4 year old will be tall enough for Space Mountain and such. I really want to be doing Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear right now. We had so much fun. I just cannot believe that it was as awesome as I'd imagined in my mind for those many months of planning. I was so prepared for something less than perfect, but we got very lucky.

Sure! I had so much fun coming up with the tickets and such. It would have been a great trip anyway, but the expressions on the boys faces when they would see tink flying in her store, or at Philharmagic, or the fireworks, etc. was awesome. They are still talking about Tink. Just wait til Christmas morning. HEE HEE HEE

LMK if I can help make some magic for you.

Such a great report on a Magical trip! It gives me some ideas for our next trip.
Where did you get the Disney Font for the tickets?

Just do a search online for free Walt Disney Script font. Can't remember which site I found it at, but it's out there. May have been a teacher's site.

tzuhouse,

That was the most magical trip report I have ever read. I had tears in my eyes more than once while reading it. You are truly a very special Mom and your family is very lucky to have you.

Happy Holidays!

What an amazing trip report! You put so much thought and effort into your planning~ it sounds absolutely amazing!
And what a cute finishing touch for Christmas morning :)
This gets me thinking about what I might be able to do to make things more special for ds and dd when we take our first trip in 12.5 months!!

Enjoyed reading your trip report ~ Thanx for posting.

Absolutely MAGICAL! What a fantastic idea and trip report. I too have a son Sean 6.5 and Ronan 4 and 3/4, we're leaving in two weeks for what will be Sean's 7th trip I think . . . you gave me some wonderful ideas. Merry Christmas!

What a great trip report. It is so nice that you are giving your kids memories that you wish you had from your childhood. They are very lucky kids!

I started reading this when you first posted it and just came back to read the rest. This is such a sweet trip report, I enjoyed reading it very much. Thank you for sharing the pixie dust.

BRAVO!
You are amazing! Such lucky young men, to have you as there momma. I can already imagine the lucky ladies they will chose & the magic they will give to their children. Your hard work at making them happy and showing them those special feelings will be multiplied by them and what a great reward that will be.
Now, I have lots of additional planning to do, we leave in 31 days. (Luckily she is only 2.5 so everything at WDW is already magical to her, but man have you raised the bar)
So glad you shared your truely magical trip with us!

Wow. Thank you so much to everyone! Y'all are too sweet. Believe me, this was as magical for my DH and I as it was for the boys, even though we knew the truth. I still find myself crying, almost every day, that it's over. I lived Disney for so long, with the planning and all.

I have started planning our next family vacation. It'll be in early Spring, 2007. Houston to Grand Canyon, to Giant Sequoia National Monument, to Yosemite, to San Francisco, to Monterey, to Carmel, to Anaheim (DISNEYLAND) to San Diego and then home again. So, I'll be able to do some Disney stuff, but only for a few days.

I'm really tossing around the idea of going back to WDW this May or in September. I would need tickets for the boys and, of course, the money for the hotel... But, if I can figure out finances, I think we'll make a road trip for a few days. I know it won't be as magical, but boy, would I love to be on Space Mountain right now.

We'll see how it goes.

Have a wonderful day and, for those who have upcoming trips, I will pray that yours is as magical as our was. Just the thought of it fills my heart and makes tears come to my eyes.

What a wonderful trip report. You are such a great Mum for creating the magic for your two sons. I truly hope they appreciate what a fantastic parent they have. I know exactly what you mean about trying to give your children the kind of childhood you should have had. That is exactly what I strive to do for my children. I am so glad you had such a great trip.

Loved it!!!! What a great trip you all had!! Come on back, the weather's gorgeous!!! :sunny:

I'm not normally a person that cries (other than when watching Extreme makeover Home edition or Snoopy comes home), but, I have to say, I am misty here.

What a beautiful trip report!! I want you as MY mom!! How adverse are you to adopting a 34 married woman? I am fully house broken and my hubby is partially house trained (he will put the seat down on most occasions).

So glad you had such a magical trip!! Sounds like you truly deserved it!!

Oh my I wasn't expecting that ending and I cried with joy for your family. What a great Mom you are and I love that you did not let your less than magical childhood shape your life  thank you for a wonderful magical morning of reading your report!

I am just bawling my eyes out after reading your trip report, thank you so much for posting. You are a great writer by the way, and an amazing wife & mother.
