Hi! I am heading to the world for 14 nights, checking in on Oct.31st. I was able to snag one of the nights in the AKV Club level and I was just curious as to what it entails. I have stayed a Jambo and Kidani many times but never club level as I own at SSR. It was a fluke it popped up as available so I grabbed it just to try it as I am sure I'll never be able to book it! I'm mainly curious as to what it means as far as the lounge, food (snacks/drinks/times available) and things like that. I am a seasonal cm so I will be working that day probably but if there were certain times things were offered in the lounge I would try to work it out with my schedule. Thank you!!

There is a schedule, maybe someone will post it. IMO the offerings have been reduced over the years, they are now okay but no big deal.

After your stay, come back and post your thoughts. :thumbsup2

I will, thanks! I know its just room but I wanted to at least try it once!!

We stayed CL last year. It was really nice. It is an open question whether the extra points you pay are recouped in the food offerings- probably not if you go to the parks all day, maybe so if you hang around the resort all that day and the next (you get CL access as soon as you check in and up until midnight on checkout day).

Definitely worth trying once, to decide if it is something you want to do again. Personally, I would happily vacation there again.

We stayed there last year in a 1bdr and it was very nice. The staff at the club level we awesome and the level of service you get is great. We do not go to the parks so hanging out at the resort was nice and did save money on food. I thought I would just do this once to say I did but if by chance the opportunity arises I would stay again.

What kind of food do they serve there. And, is there something offered all day?

I'm hoping to book for the first time as soon as my 11-month window opens.

Thank you!

We enjoy the morning breakfast which is cereal, oatmeal, fruit and pastrys. Coffee, milk and juices are also available at breakfast. After breakfast nothing to brag about pretty much just the usual cookies, chips and soda. At 5pm Wine and beer along with appetizers. We do not care for the offerings to much. The kids table is good. I think the wine can be bought for under $20 a bottle in the gift shop . At 8 pm Cordials and deserts, skip dinner and go to lounge, hopefully its a late night at Magic Kingdom as the lounge closes at 10.

As for the room you do get daily housekeeping but otherwise not a lot of difference if your on DVC points. If you have a cash reservation the room we stayed in was much nicer.

Continental breakfast early, then tapas style small bites with a changing rotation every few hours through the morning and afternoon. Finally, mini desserts and cocktails late evening. You can ask them for a beer or glass of wine from noon on and they will bring one from the kitchen, and then they set out adult drinks for serve-yourself in the evening.

You wouldn't mistake it for a meal. But it is all pretty darn good, and the setting is sweet.

The big downside is that the DVC rooms have bad views. But for me it is worthwhile, at least for a day or two.

Thanks all! Just to clarify, during the day there aren't pb & j and other sandwiches? Just cookies and drinks? At 5 there are hot appetizers? The serve yourself mixed drinks are charged for, I assume??

There are usually 3 or 4 AK themed appetizers. When we were there, there wasn't a charge for drinks but it was a restricted offering.

Soda, water and juices are available until they are gone. They do restock but they take their time. Some guests can be seen taking armfuls of soda back to their room.

Also, you will have access to the lounge from open to close on both your checkin day and your check out day. Since u r local you can arrive for the am offering and stay thru the desserts and cordials on your check out day even though u have to be out of the room by 11am. We are also local and confirmed this on our last stay.
For drinks: the wine and beer provided are included, no extra charge. They will get you a mimosa when ever you want one, but they do not put them out. They make them with jungle juice and they are amazing! Also you can ask for beer or wine anytime it is not out.
One of the pictures above lists all the times for the 5 food presentations.
I highly recommend you take the two days off if you can!!!
Let me know if I can be of more help, I am also local and have stayed club level at AK 3 times.

Enjoy your time!!

Opps, just re-read and saw it said seasonal CM! Never mind the stuff about you being local!!
