As part of our whirlwind "3 resorts in 9 nights" trip in August we will be staying at the WL for the first time. I got an AP rate for woods view and took it. Will we be looking at a tree out our window? :) Are there balconies? We have been in the resort 2x going to WCC and it looked pretty cool. Will the kids (6 & 10) like the pool?

All rooms at the WL have balconies except the ground floors and they have patios.

The woods view can vary. Last Dec. we had a great woods view room with a view of the castle and wishes. You might ask for a room overlooking the otter pond. I think the 4th and 5th floors are the best. You might ask for rooms 5032, 4032, 5030 or 4030. Have CRO add this request to your reservation. There is no guarantee you will get one of these rooms, but they don't know what you are looking for unless you ask.

I believe your kids will like the pool. They have a nice slide.

It's considered a woods view if you can see a tree. On our trip there were trees on the right 1/3 of our view, and parking lot for the rest. Woods view can be pretty spotty. Still, it's a lovely resort and I'm sure you'll have a great time!

We were just there in April. We had a first floor room overlooking the otter pond. It was great because the ducks came right up to the patio. The kids loved it. The view in the first room they tried to put us in was basically roof peaks. It was awful. I think they tried puting us in a standard view. I told the bellman we weren't happy and they quickly changed us to our new room.
