What Can I Do Special For My 13 Yr Old Dd

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANYTHING SPECIAL I CAN DO WITH MY DD ON OUR UP COMING TRIP TO DISNEY.

SHE RECEIVED A GOOD REPORT CARD, AND HELPS ME OUT AT HOME ALOT, I HAVE TO ASK DO SHE DOES IT. WE GO TO DISNEY ALMOST EVERY YEAR, BUT WOULD LIKE TO DO SOMETHING EXTRA NICE TO SHOW HER I APPRECIATE THE THINGS SHE DOES.

I am not in favor of cash rewards but this one is special. I got my daughter a prepaid credit card for our last trip to Disney. The card is called a VISA-Buxx (I am sure MC and and other credit card issuers have their own versions) and it is designed specifically for teens. Way cool! You prepay a set amount and give the card to your teen. They can then use it JUST LIKE A NORMAL CREDIT CARD until they hit the prepaid limit. The card is 'refillable'.

My young-teen daughter just LOVED having her own credit card and for me it was better than giving her cash. The nice thing is that she could choose to exhaust the card at Disney or save for something else. She now requests that the bank-of-mama hold all allowances and periodically update the card.

- Mom and daughter day at the spa (GF, Disney Institute, AKL) for manicures, pedicures or whatever.

Last summer I took my DD11 to the Spa at the GF for a manicure and a pedicure. Afterwards, we a had afternoon tea at the GF. She loved it!

If you haven't been yet, take her to see Cirque du Soleil, followed or preceeded by a nice dinner in Downtown Disney. That would be a memorable evening!

Has she ever driven her own sprite boat? You have to be 12 to drive your own boat. My kiddos think that is such a big deal to be able to zip around all by themselves in a speed boat!
