what can I do-CC hacked and PIF date soon

thurs we get several emails from our bank saying that our CC was used and they wanted us to verify it was our charges

which they were not--so bank closed the card and is sending us new ones--

probably being our PIF date is 12-31--

we get trip protection with this card thats why we always use it for trips

were booked through DU--just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes after I send in the payment form for the account to get paid

Im surly not going to wait till the 31st but doing it as soon as we get the cards--the holidays really mess this up--hate to say it that way cause I love CHristmas--

we do have the disney CC but like the trip protection we get with our other card--if worst comes to worst I can use the disney one just to get the cruise paid but then we wont get the insurance

any advice would be greatly appreciated

The few times we've had our card closed and reissued due to fraud we had the new card in about a week (cards were issued through Chase). And one time it was right before a Disney trip and I mentioned that we needed it for travel and they sent it overnight. I think you'll probably get it in time. I've also seen people post that they were able to get an extension on their PIF date by calling Disney. It was only a few days (3, I think) but it might be enough time for you to get your card if you haven't received it by the 31st.
 
Did you tell them you need your new card ASAP? I once had one expire and I didn't get the new one, didn't notice until I tried to use it. When I called they overnighted me a new card without me asking. Of course when my debit card was hacked last year it took 2 weeks to get the new one.
 

I'd ask them to overnight it or see if they can give you a one time credit card number to use to make the final payment (virtual number)....both good suggestions from above.

I would first ask if they can overnight the card to you, even if it's to the branch. If you're a good customer, remind that in this season, you'd hate to put all your undone Xmas shopping on someone else's card.

If that's a no-go, ask them for the card number and details. Explain that you have a major final payment that needs to be on their card. They should be able to help you out. If they can't, I'd seriously look at (or at least suggest to them that you'll look at) getting a different card.

Most banks want your money. Even if you pay off your bill every month, they earn a percentage on each transaction through the interchange, so they care if you are unable to spend. Ask for a supervisor, if you have to.
 
Nuts I wish I would have thought of telling them we need the card ASAP. I call on mon about getting a one time use number. Thanks
 
Just about every card I've had to replace was sent overnight. Sometimes they might ask you, "Is next week okay to replace it" and then you say "no" and then they say "okay, it will be there tomorrow."
 
great news---I did have to call the bank with a another question about the charges and asked if they could cancel the cards and send new ones ASAP--so Ill have the cards tues at the lastest

then I emailed our DU agent who said the payments post within hrs of them getting my payment--so Ill have the cruise paid off on tues then

its funny cause they didnt ask anything just it would take 3-5 business days
