What can Disney Dollars be used on?

I am thinking about asking everyone to get my DD Disney Dollars if they don't know what to get her. Is this worth it, can I use it at enough places at WDW?

They work just like cash. You can use them anywhere for anything in WDW. Room, restaurants, stores, etc., etc. Plus, when you're ready to leave you can exchange any DD you have left over back into US currency at City Hall in MK. Exchange rate is dollar for dollar so you're not risking anything. We have been buying DD for our upcoming trip in Feb. We currently have a little over $400. We will use that first and then go to cash/room charges. To me its a lot easier way to "prepay" for meals without the hassle and/or uncertainty of buying meal vouches.

Disney Dollars are not accepted at the Swan, Dolphin, or any of the resorts on Hotel Blvd. ...ONLY WDW resorts. I'm asking everyone to give me Disney $ for Christmas too! OR, La Nouba tickets!
