What brings you comfort?

Many people close to me bring me comfort...
but the first one that came to mind was Mom.

I like to be able to call DH when I am stressed too. I used to call my Mom, but she passed away 12 years ago, and I still WANT to call her occationally!

My Dad.

My hubby and daughters do as well, but there is something about my dad.

My mom and if she isn't there wrapped up in my purple fuzzy soft blanket with my pooh pillow works also.

What gives me comfort is lying in bed with a big glass of milk curled up with a good book and DH beside me!:sunny:

DH
long bubble baths
a good book
long walks

Getting to hug my DS & DD, praying with them and tucking them in at night. Getting to cuddle up with DH is another. But if I'm by myself, a glass of milk and chocolate chip cookies or a relaxing bath in the jacuzzi tub.

When I worked at WDW I used to retreat to Epcot to the World Showcase and people watch. I would write fun little stories about people as I watched them (nice stories of course) , I kept them on a notepad....I still have it somewhere.

But the best remedy when I need comfort is defiantly a call (or being around) my family....they are such a wonderful bunch....I love them so much! I hated being so far away from them all for 2 years so its great to have that luxury again. We're a very close family.

Praying. A lot of time God "answers" in the warm embrace of hubby, the laughter of my beautiful, healthy children, the phone ring from a friend.:love2:

Singing and laughing are my releases. I come up with some of the best jokes, when I'm stressed. My brother is the same way. In the days after my gradfather passed away, we were cracking each other up. We got dirty looks for all the laughter, but that was our way of getting it out of our system.

Crawling into bed with my cats

Eating (a dangerous remedy ;) )

Talking to or being with people I love.

And even DISing.

My little dogs.

Now, when one of them was ill and I was very scared, it didn't help to look at her or be around her because it made me feel worse. During that time, which thankfully passed, I found a great deal of comfort reading Harry Potter books.

Those books are the definition of escape. I love them.

My baby blanket....26 and I still have it...

Hearing the FRONT door opening at the end of the evening (as i am here reading and posting lol) and knowing my WONDERFUL Son is home from WHERE EVER safe and sound!!!

LOOKING AT MY TAG!!!! :teeth:
